When i was first going out with my fella the best dates we had were when we were sitting in the park togeather having a picnic or just talking. We din’t have much money but it didn’t seem to matter.

My mom was visiting and that meant my husband and I could go out alone without our kids. What did we do? LOL We brought coffee in the car and went for a drive.

Before the price of gas got so outrageous, our best dates were spent in a car. We would bring coffee in thermal mugs (or splurge on Dunkin Donuts) and drive aimlessly just talking. It always brought a great sense on imtimacy. I wish we could still afford to do this more than every 2 or 3 months.

When hubby and I were first married, my mil often came over and watched our first born while we went out for a date. We’d go off in our canoe, go fishing and find a nice place to stop and have a nice wine, cheese & bread lunch waterside.
It’s been a long time, we really need to do that again.
