I dropped a jar of pickles last week - what a mess. I used paper towels to sop up the liquid and mound the glass into one area. This enabled me to clean up all the liquid before vacuuming and mopping. I guess you could do this with newspaper; however, we don't take the paper, so this works best for me. That way I can't buy more than I need, I'm saving gas and wear-and-tear on the car, and I'm getting some exercise, all at the same time!
