These are some great suggestions! I actually dropped my landline and now am using a prepaid cell phone for everything. The Net10 service is great, I'm pretty sure they even use some Verizon towers. It's unfortunate that it came down to this, but I'm saving a bunch of money in the long run and hopefully I can get back on my feet sooner rather than later because of the cash staying in my pocket.

Under your ditch convenience section, you say to slice and shred your own cheese and other products. I have found that while shopping at Safeway you can take your cheese to the deli and they will slice and/or shred your cheese for you for free. Also the Meat department will turn a large piece of roast or meat of any kind into smaller pieces or slices for you for free as well. This saves time and money.
