Just saw the question this morning about storing bananas. Another option is to peel them, wrap them in aluminum foil, and freeze them. They taste like banana ice cream.

Just read the letter from Cornelia in MI about pine sap and her dog. I found a product that works great at getting pine sap off easily and is designed for animals; Absorbine Veterinarian Liniment. Discovered it when I used to show horses and we had pine trees in the pasture. Works great on my little boys too! Fairly inexpensive and can be found at almost any farm store, tack store or feed mill/elevator.
