One of the most popular frugal living topics is cooking and eating on a budget. So I’m pleased to announce this contest giveaway. Lara Starr (http://frugalfoodiecookbook.blogspot.com), coauthor of The Frugal Foodie Cookbook: Waste-Not Recipes for the Wise Cook is sponsoring one copy of her book to a Frugal Village reader.

About the authors:
LARA STARR pursues her love of cooking and saving money with equal fervor. The coauthor of The Party Girl Cookbook, Lara has offered advice on easy, affordable cooking and entertaining on TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, and web sites throughout the US and Canada. She lives in Marin County, California with her well-fed husband and son.

LYNETTE SHIRK is a classically trained chef and has worked in the kitchens of Chez Panisse, Masa’s, Wolfgang Puck’s Postrio, Bizou, Stars, and Williams-Sonoma corporate headquarters. She resides and eats Alaskan king crab legs in Seattle.

    I would lóve to have the cookbook! I live in Europe, here also the crisis has hit us badly. My husband lost his job and we are living from scrap these days. Normally a wonderful cook, I loose my enthousiasm for it, simply because meals are made of what I have in the cupboard, in stead of what I would like to cook. So I have high hopes this book might motivate me back into the frugal kitchen- the nice and inspirational way! I do believe so strongly family meals should be inspirational, both to cook and to enjoy, don’t you?

    Any cookbook that has pictures to show the final result is a great book to have. So many times I’ve tried a new recipe dish to find it just didnt look appealing or taste as great as I thought after preparing it.
