danny Contest giveaway: How To Survive (and perhaps thrive) On A Teachers Salary book
This contest is now closed.

Danny Kofke has sponsored a copy of his book titled How To Survive (and perhaps thrive) On A Teacher’s Salary for this contest giveaway. One lucky Frugal Village reader will win.

About the book: You can have financial freedom on a teacher’s salary

According to a study done by the National Education Association, 50% of teachers leave the profession within five years because of poor working conditions and low salaries. Yet, according to a recent General Social Survey, teaching ranks among the Top 10 most gratifying jobs. A low salary should not be the reason to stop doing something you love. Learn to:

Retire with a sizable nest egg
Own all of your possessions – including your cars and house
Invest in Roth IRAs
Establish a weekly budget
Live a financially secure life on a modest income

Use Danny Kofke’s easy-to-use tips to equip you and your family to not only survive, but live happily within your means, multiply your funds and invest in for your future.

Danny Kofke is currently a special education teacher. He has also taught pre-school, kindergarten, first grade and second grade. Danny’s wife, Tracy, was a school teacher before becoming a stay-at-home mom to their two young daughters – Ave, age 5, and Ella, 2. Danny has a passion for teaching others and helping them get the most out of their lives. A lot of people think that figuring out financial matters and investing are difficult and are intimidated by it. Danny wants to show others that if this 34 year-old school teacher can figure it out then you can too.

  20. I don’t need to win. My mother was a teacher for 38 years and has had a wonderful retirement of 34 years because of her investments and teacher retirement. I was a teacher for 13 years and retired after 31 years including some administrative work. I was able to retire early and enjoy living my dream in a remote cabin. Teaching is very rewarding and economically sustaining during and after active service. – Margy

My namesake the 111 went to Kansas University, obtained his BSE with a Gold Key Honor Society, and wanted to so much teach Kids, he quit after 6 weeks. I’d like to know why. He’s making over 6 figures as a Sharepoint Developer, but I understand that with tenure it gets better.

I’d like the book, so he can tell me why he couldn’t have done what it says. Maybe the book is hokus, and we need to do more at the entry level.

I’ll never understand he was so committed what changed?
