Pre-grated soap is a great option to save you a bit of time making your own laundry soap. I ordered the 1 lb bag a while ago, just to try it. I was skeptical at first because there is no sudsing. However, I was amazed!. Stains come out like a charm, the clothes smell SO clean, and there is no soapy residue in your clothes or your washing machine. The clothes come out so soft, even when line dried. It is also great for the septic system because of no clumping. I am hooked! I have just ordered the five pound bag. A little goes a long way. I am so grateful to Mary Hunt for recomending this website.

This laundry soap is spectacular! I really like the clean fresh scent it gives my cloth diapers. Plus it leaves them very soft for my baby’s bottom. I tried other bands of residue free detergent, but they gave my poor little dear a splotchy red rash. Originally I bought the ingredients to make my own, but seeing as I have three toddlers and a 10wk old, I don’t have time to do all the grating. So I am going to buy the premixed soap from now on. I do love this soap!

This stuff is amazing! I have totally eliminated the need for using fabric softener with this detergent (which saves me $$). Because it is so concentrated I can use less and that saves me money in the long run too. It has a fresh, clean scent. I’m hooked…I plan on buying my ingredients through your website and continue to make my own here at home.

A tip from Stephanie: The laundry detergent recipes will NOT make suds in your washer so don’t be alarmed. Fels Naptha Soap is a pure soap and typically makes little or no suds in the water. This makes it perfect for use in the new HE washers as well as tradional washers. You will also notice the need to either reduce your laundry softener or in most cases you can even eliminate the use of softener completely.

106OMG this reminds me so much of my granny. She even made her own face soap. She taught me to save my soap bits from the ends of the face soap in a small tub of water. When we had enough bits to fill a butter tub we boiled it and poured it into a mold and made a large “new” bar for us to use. I always thought granny was so cool when I was a little girl lol : )
