Dumpster Diving Finds from Members

We shop at a local bakery outlet store. Last time we were there the clerk told us they throw everything that doesn't sell in the dumpster behind the store. Well that was all I needed to hear. So tonight, we looked in there and found 25 packages of snowballs that had expired yesterday. Since we live in a cold climate they were frozen and perfectly clean, unsmashed. If we had been inside the store only hours earlier we would have been charged the outlet store price. The really amazing thing is this...these snowballs are fresher than some I have purchased off the shelf for full price! Well there you have it. We rarely dumpster dive..maybe 10 times in the last ten years is all. I'm thinking of making a hobby of it!

This is my living room, the couch , large painting, lamps and area rug were all trash picked!

Another pic, the TV stand was trash picked.

Last one for now....the chair was trashpicked. It is a Futon chair. I had never seen one before. The frame is pine and beautiful (and heavy lol). I made the cover out of a twin sheet from Wal Mart that cost $2.89. The cushion was in great shape! I just covered so my kids wouldnt destroy it.
