If you were to adopt from overseas, which country would you choose?

Thailand. I've been casually looking into international adoptions. I'd be looking to adopt alone, but unless I find a husband in the next 4 years, I will not be able to have a Thai baby.

Guatemala would have been my first choice...but they are now closed :0(
Now the Central and South American countries require you to live there for 3 to 4 weeks (which my DH just can not do since he is self employed). Except Belize which MAY still be an option for us...

But we are mostly looking at Bulgaria right now (we are paying off debt, decluttering to make room, and gathering paperwork up)
