If you were to adopt from overseas, which country would you choose?
If we would have had the money, I would have loved to adopt a couple girls from China.

When we have the money, we will adopt one or two from China.

I know the process can take a long time. Our son is from Guatemala, it took 5 1/2 months after we sent all the paperwork down, before we could bring him home.

Gabe used to do dossier translations for Haitian adoptions and although any amount of waiting is too long, I think the process wasn't too bad. Then again, we weren't living the adoption process. We were just a small part of it.

I think I would want to adopt one from the good old USA. Not that a foreign adoption would be out of the question, but I also would want to adopt a older child.

I think the USA too. I have always wanted to adopt but we probably never will. I would like to adopt older children and/or siblings.

Somewhere in Asia, probably Korea. I really hope our government can get adoptions from Thailand and Vietnam fixed soon as well.
We've discussed adoption as a "someday" if it seems like what God wants us to do.

My first pick would be canada, just because there are so many children right here who need a home..... but if I had to pick a foreign country? ... I suppose it doesn't really matter... every country has it's problems and it's lost children..... I'm not sure why the country would matter unless you're picking for 'cuteness'. But I don't know a lot about the whole thing
