Is there some sort of alert for PM's - I had two and didn't even know - I just stumbled into them. This is the coolest website and it has so much to learn!!

If you go to USER CP, then to EDIT OPTIONS the 8th option down asks if you want an email sent to you when you get a PM. If that's checked and you didn't get an email check you "junk mail" box if you have one. I use to get messages in both until I reset my junk mail filters.

Also when you click on "forums" when you have a new message in your pm box, your "Private Messages" header will say something to the effect of

You have 1 new message(s) since your last visit.
(You have 1 unread messages and 1 total messages in all your folders.)

The numbers may be different based on the numbers of messages, how full your box is and so on.

The last couple of times I have received PM's I haven't received an email telling me even though my setting is for private emails to be sent.
I only found out when I came onto the site!

Sometimes I get an alert and sometimes I don't, it's luck of the draw...lol

I had an email in my inbox that I had a PM a few weeks after I had already gotten the PM....lol Although that is nothing new. I had one from my mom yesterday afternoon that she sent me Friday morning at 8:30.
