Pies on a stick
I just made these little pies on a stick to see how they would turn out. They are so cute. My future daughter in law wants to have some of these at the reception as a nod to my son who like pie more than cake. These will be one of out DIY projects.

It was fun making them. In this recipe they said sprinkle the large sugar on them, I did that, but I was thinking that if I made them for the reception I could sprinkle the apple with green sugar, cherry with red and peach with orange to let people know what the filling was.

What a neat idea Jas, thanks for sharing! I love working with that large sugar.

I think they would be cute minus the stick too.
And just as tasty

They are. And the size I made them may have been too heavy for the stick. I used a glass maybe two inches wide. I think they might have made thiers smaller. This was my first try at them to see the results and how easy they are.
With the package of store bought pie dough I made 12 of them the size I made them. Of course making them smaller would result in more little pies. I only used 1/2 the can of filling.Married 24 years to Mark

Cute idea, and I love the idea of using colored sugar. I was thinking pink or red for love, but having the sugar indicate the flavor is a good one too, especially if you can make a cute little sign indicating a "key" so people know which color = which flavor.
I think the creator needs to come up with a cuter name though...I was thinking sticks like from my yard vs popsicle sticks

Really cute jen........
I was doing okay until it said 'roll out your pie dough'........that stopped me dead in my tracks!
Be sure to take pics and post..........you are on a real roll for this wedding.......so organized. You will have it all done in no time!!

They are really easy and fun to make. I bought store bought and just let it get room temp. and used that. There is NO WAY I would even consider making them if I had to make the dough myself. At least right now that is not something I have mastered. I am still working on the bread making.
