My new favorite "appliance" : my flavor injector and my baster
Ok I have two favorites.

I bought a flavor injector today and it felt funny because it was just a syringe with a nice fancy needle on the end that had three holes towards the tip. I kept putting it into the turkey, injecting about 1 tbsp of the juice, and then basted it every half an hour.
I will never bake another turkey or piece of meat, for that matter, without using this thing!
It was the most awesomest turkey I have ever eaten!
My suggestion is that if you don't already have one of these, get one.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Must be the inner nurse in you coming out. Lots of differnt flavorings to inject, the sky is the limit. Only probem I've ever had is with the end getting clogged, doesn't happen often but it's frustrating when it does. Sometimes it lets loose at the wrong time and the juice goes flying, lol.
I used to have to buy bulb basters often but ever since I bought one with a stainless steel baster & hand washed the bulb part I haven't had to buy another. Worth the investment.
Have fun "doctoring" your food!~*Darlene*~
