We bought our Shark from Sam's. The steamer mop came with two pads, the hand held steamer for counters, corners, tubs, etc...It was $80.00 plus tax.

My daughter and son in law got me the Shark last mother's day and it is the best. I love it.

i liked how it works but the handle already broke..it came with a warranty but i have to go drop it off to be fixed i got it in NOV and the handle broke in FEB

the pads sometimes pull off while cleaning

wish i got a shark

When I decided to buy one, I looked everywhere - Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, several Walmarts, etc. Then one day I was shopping in a WalMart farther from my home (I was in the area) and found them there!

I have the Eureka Enviro Steamer. I purchased it from Amazon after reading the reviews. I really like how it cleans!

I'm not sure how I first missed this thread, then posted an almost identical question two weeks later.

But, thank you to everyone who posted their experiences in both threads; I have pretty well decided to purchase one. It sounds like the Shark is most popular among villagers, which is good as that is the only one I have seen in the store so far.

I noticed on the box that the mop had an attachment to make it glide more easily over carpet. Do they actually clean carpet as well, or do people just steam the carpet to kills germ without it actually looking any cleaner? I have a couple of area rugs that I would like to freshen up, but they are worth less than the cost of cleaning them.

Grainlady, what are the various attachments for the one you have? And do you know the name or number of the model (so I can check availability).
