A Yogurt Maker for $.50!!!
~After digging through clothes awhile at a yard sale I happened to see this odd-looking appliance on a table. I've never seen a yogurt maker but I was pretty sure that's what it was. She sold it to me for fifty cents. It's a Moulinex. An internet search proved its identity and provided a manual. It works and it's in beautiful shape! I have to buy some starter the next time I'm out!~

Neat!
I made yogurt a few years ago and it is really easy. I used the recipe in the Tightwad Gazette.

Check out The Complete Tightwad Gazette. I believe you can use yogurt with active cultures as starter. It doesn't hurt to check it out. A yogurt maker at Williams-Sonoma is like $40.00.
