I am going to put my wedding gown on craigslist but I can't decide what to ask for it. I have thought of selling it before but couldn't make up my mind so I put it back in the closet. But I really have made up my mind that I don't need it. It's just in the way and its going to get ruined if it isn't properly cared for. So it's best to pass it on to someone who will use it:)

IT is designer and I think I paid around 600 but I'm not sure. The gown is 9 yrs old but it is in perfect condition and I don't think it looks out of date at all. I also think its a size 10 but it could be an 8. I was thinking 125.00. Is that too high or too low? :toothy:

Ann,
It is a beautiful dress, and I don't think 125 is too high at all!

Lovely dress.....I don't think that is too much, some young lady would be very happy to get that dress for such a resonable price.

I think that's a great price for such a beautiful dress.

I agree that seems like a fair price, especially for such a pretty dress :).

I agree - I would pay $125 for it if I were in the market for one.

What about pricing it for $300 (a GREAT price for a wedding dress) or best offer, but don't go below $125. It's a beautiful gown and I would rather price it higher and have someone talk me down.

I think Cricket has the right idea. List it for $300 or best offer, and then don't go below $125. You might be happily surprised.

I bought my wedding dress almost 2 years ago and it was very simple and I only paid $150.00 for it, from Davids Bridal. Although if I were a size 8 or 10 I would have totally paid $300.00 or more for your dress, it is beautiful!! I agree price at $300 and go down from there, probably wouldn't go much below $150!!! Good Luck and let us know what you end up selling it for!!

Are you going to take measurments of the dress so you'll know exactly what size it is??

I agree with Cricket, start high so you give yourself room to come down.

Do you still have any "accessories" that could go with the dress to bring the total price up?

How about a picture of you in it? It's hard to tell what it really looks like on the hanger!!!

I agree with others, price higher for some room to negotiate.

I agree with this (and you can blur out your face if you'd rather not have it posted) as well as starting higher so you can negotiate down.

Good luck--it is a beautiful gown! :bride:

Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines as Michelle. POst a pic of you wearing the dress. if you have photoshop you can put a black box over your face if you'd rather people not see what you look like. ROFL, when I was showing a dress i was selling a few years back I cropped a pic of a princess (cartoon) and placed it over my face in the picture so that i was allowed more privacy.

Great ideas ladies. I will take measurements , scan my wedding photo. I couldn't fit in it now if I had a shoe horn:( and price it at 295.00

I will share the post as soon as I get it done. Thanks for all the feed back.
