I have several tin signs that advertise old face powders, hair tonics, etc. Have a couple of shelves that hold old containers that once were full of witch hazel, cosmetics or soap etc. I love old stuff so, I use every room to display my collections! /phpbb/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I went with an underwater theme--framed prints of whales and dophins, with a few shells sitting on the shelf, then plain navy blue and white accesories matched nice.

My guest bath has a floral theme but I am slowly working on doing a Texas red white and blue theme in our master bath.

my large bathroom is done kind of victorian, I have pictures of "old" time bathtubs...my 1/2 bath is also the furnace room and laundry room and have no open wall space to put a single picture up, lots of cupboards though....:dazed:

My bathroom now is a bit small and has strange character with pink tiles in the shower and a oddly patterned counter. So no pictures now.

But in my old bathroom I just framed some nice Chanel ads to match the Chanel ad clock I made and had sort of a Chanel perfume theme going.

Hall bath is painted caramel and has some framed antique prints of dh's family. And on one big wall is a full size quilt that I made with reds, golds, blacks and blues.
Master bath has two prints from an artist friend of ours. Both are waterfowl prints in natural colors. The room is painted a light grey/green.
The upstairs (guest) bath is painted the same caramel as the hall bath with dark gold and dark purple accents with a print from another local artist. (watercolor of rabbits in a pansy patch :-)

Kind of random, but we are cyclists here who ride a lot and love to follow cycling races (My BIL raced in the Giro d'italia -Italy's big tour), so I have a pic of the Tour de France "pee zone" Its a pic from the back, you just see a bunch of cyclists riding their bikes taking a wiz on the street as they race ahead...probably not what you're looking for. It just really hit my sense of humor when I saw it. Such a hurried society we live in. I have one bathroom with lots of cycling stuff in it, so it really fit.

I have an Americana theme in my bathroom right now, so I have lots of primitive flags going on.

I'm getting ready to change everything in the house though. I'm doing themed B&W photos in each room. My living room is body parts (I know it sounds weird) but it is turning out really cool. I have a picture of my sons hand in his dad's when he was a baby, and a picture of the kid's bare feet, standing in the grass this summer. So far that is what I have in the living room. In the bathroom, I was thinking about doing B&W beach scenes. I'm gonna do some different seasons pictures, so I won't be able to have them all up until summer comes around, but it should be neat.

I have a beach theme.
A rather large picture of a beach with a boat and a lighthouse in it. I bought it on vacation at Hampton Beach one year. It just so happened the blue-green colors in it matched my shower curtain perfectly.

I have an oil painting of a lighthouse during a storm. I'm not really big on light houses, but I just really liked this one. The adjorning wall has ocean wallpaper with fish and a lifesaver and ship steering wheel hang there.

My guest bath is done in a tropical island theme with tropical fish, shells, starfish. The colors are bright and festive.

My master bath is done in a Primitive Americana Theme to match my bedroom decor...which I am still working on. I have tin stars, Prim Samplers, Americana Flags, etc.

We have a "sea" thing going on in our bathroom. I have a beautiful painting that my SIL did. It looks just like the beach where me and my hubby met for our first date. We also have a painting that and old neighbor did and sold at her yard sale. This one looks just like the beautiful little creek that used to run outback of our old house. We also have photos in there of my hubby and I and other family members at the beach. One of my favorites is and 8x10 of me and my sister when we were little, vacationing at the seashore.

My husband wanted a water theme as well. I compromized and we have a "sail" theme. So there are pictures of sails, a large poster of a sailing ship (wooden, not cruise liner), a wooden model of the Mayflower and the shower curtain is going to be strung on with clothes line and knots ... one of these days. It works.

My bathroom (tub/shower and toilet room) is currently done in pink w/ nothing on the walls. The hall w/ the bathroom sink/med. cabinet has a framed Finding Nemo picture on the wall. Weird layout, but it's what to expect when you live in an apartment.

Heh, I understand. To get to my bathroom you walk through a closet area with my furnace first and there's one light switch on the outside of the bathroom that lights up both areas. And I don't have a bedroom, so my bed is in the "dining area" at the top of the stairs.

Only one picture in ours, it's a watercolor underwater scene my son did in Kindergarden or first grade (he's now 21). It's really cute with waves above & fish and a "supposed to be" octopus below. Wherever we move that picture will be in our bathroom.:fish:
I've got a nature type theme going in there with my fern shower curtain http://item.express.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ExpressItem&item=150190200737&FROM_MERCHANDIZING=1QQssPageNameZKP_Merch_CLOSED_ITEM_SIMILAR_LINK
and birds, pinecones & pussywillows as decorations. Fish doesn't really "go" (woods vs sea) but that pic just has to be there, lol.

No pics, but I just hung towel hangers which have iron forms of a cowboy and a cowgirl from the waist up. A friend won them at a chinese auction. They're cute!

I have prints of a horse's behind and a horses face straight on from the same artist, but I haven't had them framed. It's been at least 2 years. Lazy!!

My bathroom is olive green with white trim and textiles. The art is all old advertising art (not really old, just copies) with bright colors like yellow and red. I love it and get a lot of compliments on it.

I have bird-and-floral pictures all through my house. The ones in the bathrooms are color-coordinated to "go" in there.

I have a shower curtain with butterflies on it so I plan on putting pictures of butterflies on the walls which are purple right now. Before that, I had watercolor pictures of angel fish and other fishes to go with a shower curtain that had tropical fish. My walls were a light teal back then.

I have a very primitive americana home. So my bathrooms so stray to far from that. I have "simple living" pictures in both bathroom and when I go in there it reminds me to live simple.

Mine is a rose theme. The last three apartments actually had the same mix match of beige and pink tiles, sink, bathtub, and toilet (Nothing really matches). I have used the same pictures for about 13 years now. They seem to help blend everything together.

Someday I hope to never see this combination again!

The children's bathroom has framed Norman Rockwell or Rockwell-style prints of children and/or dogs getting baths. They hang on the one wall-papered wall, and the pattern is of old bathtubs. The rest of the room is painted. We have a claw foot tub with the wrap around shower curtain, a pedestal sink, and Shaker pegs on the wall for towels. I put spare towels in a wooden crate. Quite honestly, that's the only bathroom that I decorated!

My on-suite bath is done in a transitional style/asian style with wall decor made of pretty metal wall plaques and pussy willow branches painted on the wall.
My children's bathroom is done in an island theme like the carribean.
My powder room downstairs is done in floral still life with a traditional feel.

The bathroom in the basement has no pictures on the wall. A full length mirror that was there when we bought the house. Noone uses that bathroom except dh. I will if I am down there doing laundry
On the main floor we have a half bath. It has a picture of an outhouse, a picture of a cat sitting on a toilet with a sign that says " Good seating still available" A picture of a little kid that says " The Library"
In the full bath upstairs there is a clock that looks like a sneaker, two pictures of out houses and pictures of bunnies sitting in the tub. Just things I have picked up at flea markets and yard sales. No real themes

My 1/2 bath on the first floor is painted a periwinkle color on the top half and victorian floral wallpaper on the bottom half that includes a periwinkle color in it...believe it or not, I have old hammered aluminum trays hanging on the top part of one wall, a black and white picture of my girls hugging each other when they were small on one wall, and a muted silver framed picture of victorian roses on another wall. Since the bathroom is almost a triangle shape, it only leaves enough room for a towel bar and a mirrored white medicine cabinet (which are on the wall with my daughter's pix)
My upstairs bath is painted pink, with white trim, white lace window and shower curtains, I have some vintage washboards on one wall, and guilded framed pictures of victorian ladies on another wall. There is an old style cabinet next to the toilet that is only waste high so I keep a lamp on there and a rock waterfall that has angels carved into it. I plug it in when I'm taking a soak..ahhhh it's so peaceful!

When I redid the half bath downstairs, I went w/ a kinda French theme. For the pics I just padded some wood we had in the basement and wrapped it with a green and creme toile print fabric. Just staple along the back. It was super esay and looks great!

No pictures--a clock and towels take up most of the available wall space, and I'm kind of a minimalist anyway. :)

Our bathroom is barely big enough to turn around in. We hung a small cabinet on one wall for extra storage space. We also have a full length mirror -- wouldn't do with out it. Then we have towel racks, hooks for bathrobes it. I did manage to find room to hang one thing -- my framed "ewe's not fat, ewe's fluffy" print.

The upstairs bath we just got thru gutting and putting back together which means I did a little redecorating. I have a print that is of a bouquet of flowers with numbers beside each flower and down at the bottom it tells which flower is which (love it bought it at an auction for 1.00 or so) and I purchased a Big Lot a couple of weeks ago a tin of a urn with kinda like limbs coming out of it with leaves on them. The leaves match the leaf print on my shower curtain.
The downstairs bath we haven't really done much too we will be gutting it soon. It has kinda alot...I bought some old Home interior the plastic molded stuff...well there are two cherubs, 2 doves, 2 wall sconces and a long wreath all was 5 bucks on ebay and puke gold took and sprayed it a cream color, as well I have an old home interior oval print that is of a wicker rocker and you see the plantation type home in the back ground, the only other thing is a stepping stone that has a birdhouse theme on it, I hung it using a plate rack.

I don't have a lot of wall space to hang things in my bathroom. The only actual picture I have up is a cross-stitch I did right after Tom & I married (almost 20 years ago) it says "love is never having to wash your own back" and has a couple sitting in a bubble bath.

The only picture in my bathroom is a very large ornate mirror that I bought on clearance for 25 dollars at Lowes. I'm now into the "less is more" phase of life.

I like the mirror because the bathroom is small and the mirror gives the illusion of more space.. as well as reflects light to make it brighter.

Since my bathroom is small, I change it every couple of years or so cause it only takes about 1/2 gallon of paint and two rolls of wallpaper border. I have had it the same way for about 5 years now.

The walls are drywall painted a wierd mauvey/tan color that I picked out of the border which is garden themed items like a wheelbarrow, birdhouses, birds, watering cans, flowers etc. The shower curtain is a cream lace which I got at a yard sale years and years ago for 3 bucks. I have checked plain curtains on the window that are a little more brown than the walls.

Hanging on the walls I have a country angel picture with a saying about families (Salvy Army find), a berry wreath, and a large picture of a teddy bear sitting on an old chair with a quilt and balls of fabric and buttons in a large bowl. Got it from a friend years ago for birthday. It has the mauvey/tan color of the walls in it, also.

Getting bored with it, but gotta wait cause we bought a shower to install and will do any painting and stuff after that is done, cause we are gonna make a MESS!!! LOL
