I don't know if any of you have been to these but we went to one of
them this morning and the kids had such a good time! They got to keep the wooden truck (built from a kit with really easy to follow
instructions), a woodworking apron, a badge depicting today's project to sew on the apron, and a certificate. They provided them with a little hammer and a workspace outside and there were people floating around to help as needed. Jace didn't really want to go at first but I talked him into trying it just once because Kya really wanted to and there wasn't anyone for him to stay behind with today since dh was working. At the end of the workshop he thanked me for "making" him go and wanted to know when the next workshop is. Next time they get to make a pirate ship. What fun!

We've been taking Paige since she turned 3 this past Feb. She missed her first one today, cause she had to go to work with me, but the guy that does them said he would try to save her one. They just built a similar truck two workshops ago so it wasn't to big of a deal to miss it today. With there being 5 weekends this month it will work out to be my Saturday off the 2nd week of Sept. so I can take her to that one when they build the Pirate Ship :)

We've been going just about all summer. We went today & did the GMC truck and we signed up for the next two. The next four (in order) are: Pirate's Ship, Firetruck, skeleton, and pumpkin. The boys love going.

My boys go the HD kids' workshops which are held on the first Saturday of the month. Some of my favorite mother's day presents have come from there!
