yesterday and I think that we have found the dress.

http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=13&pictureid=2280

I know it's not the best pic, but all I had was my phone. But from the first time she put it on, she just glowed. I told her, No matter how many dresses you put on, the one that is your's will just make you glow.
There were other ladies trying on dresses and all of them had to come and look at her in this dress. By the time we left, she had gotten multiple opinions and all of them said that was the dress for her.

She almost walked out before she even got to try on dresses.

Bryanna had an appointment @2 pm yesterday. We went it and told them that we were there for her appointment. They didn't have her down as having an appointment.
The girl at the desk told us to start looking around and then if she found any dresses that she wanted to try on, then let her know and she would see if she could find someone who wasn't busy to help us.
Well, we started looking around and Bryanna kept getting madder and madder by the minute. Her appointment was to meet with a gown consultant and then to start trying on dresses.
Well, I went to the desk and told the little girl, "I don't know why you don't have your stuff together, but my daughter had a 2pm appointment and IF you don't fnd her info and get someone to help us, then we are walking out and I will stand in front of your store and tell everyone coming in, that you are too busy to help anyone."
Well, they found her info. The person who made the appointment, had made it for their store in Cincy. That's over an hour away from us. Why would Bryanna make that appointment, especially when she made it with someone from their Dayton store? Anyway, they got someone to help us. She was the manager of the store. She apologized and then took us into her office and had Bryanna start looking at pictures. That way she could get an idea of what Bryanna wanted.
Then she took us out on the floor and started pulling dresses off of the rack. I think Bryanna tried on at least 15 dresses. But kept coming back to that one.
Because of the mixup, they are going to give Bryanna $100 off of the dress.

I think the cut is perfect! And oh to be young and able to wear strapless again!

She is going back next week to put it in layaway.

She has set a date for July 18, 2009. We are really getting into the whole, I have to do this, I have to do that crunch.
She has picked out her colors, what sort of invitatons that she wants, who her bridemaids are going to be, who the flower girl is going to be. She wants her grandfather to preform the ceremony. But we are unsure if he will do it or not.
She wants to have an outdoor wedding. So she is looking at several places. Not sure about the reception though. She wants that to be indoors. She only wants certain people at the wedding, but more at the reception.

She has a lot to do.

She looks gorgeous in that dress! It kind of reminds me of my wedding dress. Super simple and exuisitely elegant! No need for the frufru stuff!

That is so awesome that they are giving her a deal on her dress! My soon to be SIL in neck deep in wedding planning and I know she is going crazy! I'm trying to help her as much as I can, but we are 3000 miles apart, so it is tough!

Just tell her not to stress over every little thing and tell her to remember to stop and enjoy it all! After all, she'll only be doing this once!

Great that she is getting a deal on the dress... I tried that same dress on at DB and it didn't look nearly that good on me!!!

I'm getting hitched in 71 days and still have sooooo much to do - it's ridiculous. So, remember to take a deep breath and don't get too stressed. I guarantee my to-do list is longer than yours and I have just over 2 months to go. :)

Good luck and happy planning!

She looks lovely! Since my dd just got married in October I know fully well what you are both going through :) It all happens so quickly! I'm glad you took a picture of the dress. My dd found a dress she loved, tried it on, and I took a picture so we could look at them and compare later. The one she loved was beautiful, but looked terrible in the pictures! And we figured after the wedding is over all you have left is the pictures. Good luck with the plans and have fun!
