Do you recycle gifts? Like you receive a gift you don't like, so give it as a gift to someone else?

Like regifting a gift. lol

I don't, but that isn't to say that I wouldn't. I have always liked the gifts I get.

I do too. I just put it in my gift closet until someone comes along who I think would like it. I probably should write down who I got it from originally. It would be very embarrasssing to give it back to the original giver.
I have to attend lots of "functions" for my DH's job. We are always getting goodie bags and door prizes at these things. I put most of that stuff in my gift closet too.

The only time I have done this is when my church ladies group will host a 'white elephant' party within our group.....we have the option of either buying a new gift, or bringing in something that we can no longer use, or don't want......of course, it would be a bit embarassing to bring in something that someone in that group had given you as a gift!!!

I have regifted wine on several occasions. We aren't drinkers, so anytime we are given wine we regift it.

I haven't but the real reason is because we keep our gift exchange gift VERY small by choice. We exchange only within our immediate family (dh, myself, ds), mother/father in law, my two paternal grandparents, and one brother in law. Sure, we have other relatives who would probably like a gift, but we don't. We usually receive a gift certificate (small one) from one other person but I never feel obligated to reciprocate. Sometimes my sister sends a small package as well..again, I don't feel any obligation...we don't communicate frequently...

Because our exhange list is so small, it is unlikely that someone would NOT know it came from someone else on the list. If we had a more extensive exchange list, however, it would not PHASE me to regift--so long as there is no chance the people know each other, lol, and could find out...

Oh Yeah!

My inlaws are always giving me knick knacky things that I just don't care for, so they almost always get regifted. I have given my dh a list of simple kitchen items I need to give to his family this year, so hopefully I won't get anymore knick knacks.

I have also regifted wedding presents. How many knife sets, rolling pins and toasters does a girl need? I took back what I could and the rest were given away.

I have never done this, but if I found a like new present at a yard sale I would buy it and regift it. Especially if it was something that would really be appreciated by someone on my list.

I wouldn't mind receiving a regifted item if it was something that I would use.
