Hi....I'm wondering if anybody here has any ties to adoption? Either as an adoptee, a birth parent or an adoptive parent.

My husband & I are at the end of our homestudy and I'm always curious as to who else has had their lives touched by adoption. :)

Congratulations on getting to the end of your homestudy.

We are adoptive parents of 3 special needs children.

We finished our homestudy about 6 months ago, currently have a 14 month old foster baby and a 4 month old we hope to adopt in the house-although if both were to become available......--Kellie

My husband was adopted and due to medical reasons we had his adoption file opened this past spring. He met his birth family in June and they are absolutely wonderful! He now has an explanation why he was given up, knows that he had a much better life than he would've if his birth mom kept him, and now has his birth family -including brothers and a sister- who very much want him in their lives. This has been an indescribable experience. (Also, we found that his birth mom also has his medical condition.)
