Yuck, are we back to chocolate brown again? Earth colors? I remember my MIL had ruffled curtains made that were chocolate brown back in the 80's. Then she tried to give them to me to go with my blue carpet, because she paid alot of money for them. :puke: What a combination that would have been.
The pastels are great-but when is seafoam green coming back? I loved that color. lol :toothy:
DH just did a house and the homeowners painted their bedroom bright orange-that would give me nightmares. Sorta like Heaven's avatar this week.;)

I dunno. Chartreuse was hot 7 years ago and stayed a popular interior, fabric, and floral design color for the past few years. I think that one is outdated.
Orange is popular, as is canteloupe. I see a lot of mixing of canteloupe shades with purples. I'm not fond of it, but oh well.
I think Olive green is back personally. Especially in home interiors vs. clothing.
Royal colors in holiday decorating too.
My two cents anyway.

I think I'll stick with the blues and other country colors, at least in the main areas of the house. I love Christopher Lowell's ideas!

i like christopher lowell too, but i don't think i'll be changing my colors to those anytime soon!!:hmmm: he could probably make it work, but i know i couldn't.;) i will stick to the sage green in my kitchen/dining, dark greens/browns in the livingroom, and seafoam green in the baths, and light greens in the bedroom. i guess i like the earthy tones....unless the are too flashy (orange? )!!!
just my :cents:

I almost did my kitchen in mango orange, then changed to yellow and blue. I think I would have liked a light orange better. Oh well. Kitchen still isn't finished, better not try to change color too soon. Still have the border to stencil.
