I have noticed that there are several ladies doing low carb, so I thought I would have a roll call.

What plan are you doing?

--I am doing a variety of things in order to tailor this to my lifestyle. Currently I am on Atkins induction. I plan to stay on Atkins for a while and then shift more toward either Sommersize or CAD (carbohydrates addict) after a few month. I am leaning more toward Sommersizing this summer when all of the yummy high carb fruits are in season.

How long have you been doing it?

--This is my first day on induction. I did Atkins for a couple of months right after the twins were born and lost 15lbs. I was too tired to make good food choices and fell off the wagon.

Have you been successful?

--I'll let you know.

What are your plans for maintaining?

--Like I said above I will shift toward either Sommersize or Cad. I may do a mixture of both.

Do you use bars, shakes or any other type of "convience" product?

--nope--I have heard they are yucky and they are pretty costly.

I am starting the atkins again, i should do it today!!! i haven't yet though. i was on during the summer and lost alot, but with the trip to maine it was just too much. so i stopped.
Some of the bars are really gross, but the no carb bars are just like chocolate and they are about $1. each they are small but good if you need something. My mum does the drinks i don't remember if i didn't like them or didn't try them. Oh well, anyway.
I am going to start it back up right off, just the motovation is my problem. I really want to do it again.

I was on just two weeks, Atkins that is. I did the induction, it worked and I lost 9 pounds total before I took a break. Holiday time was just too tough. I have not really pigged out like I used to but I did partake in some holiday goodies. I am not sorry for now that I stopped. January second is my startup date once again. I am taking my kids to stay all night on the Rose Parade route and there is too much fun with little goodies there too, like hot chocolate for instance. Atkins allows for one cup here and there but I will need to keep my internal heater going that night. I am planning to be on this diet for the indution phase (2 weeks) adding 5 carbs a week until I feel comfortable, at which point I will modify it to suit a busy lifestyle which included things like fruits.
