Three of the five homes we have owned have had 'L's.
It really boils down to 3 rooms stuck together like leggos.
The living room is divided by necessity and the dinning room shares that wall....that Loooooonnnnnggggg wall.
How have you arranged yours?

I don't have that layout but my sis does. The DR uses the small of the "L" and has the puter & DR table in it and the rest is taken up by 2 couches facing one anotherwith a coffee table in the middle. Cornered at the top of the L is a cornered hutch holding the TV. This probably makes no sense but I meant well.LOL.

I had a place once that had One long room that was living and diningroom. it was a pain in the butt but i put the entertainment stand in the middle so that it seperated them.

Our's is like that..... we have the small part of the L as the dining room with a china hutch, antique dining room set and secretary in it. Our kitchen is just right there too, smallish with a bar that sorta sits in the dining room too....... . I love this old house but sometimes I would really like to have a new one with separated rooms for these uses.

I've never lived in a home that had the L shape. My house now has an enormous rectangle shaped family room and another enormous rectangle shaped room that serves as the living room/dining room. Due to doorways and such, I still haven't figured out how to set up the living room/dining room!

Ours is divided by the couch.. It's pretty much the same setup we had in our last apartment. Except then we only did it that way because we set the DR up as a office...

Mine is a big rectangle with a fireplace at the short north wall, at the southwest corner is the front door. Middle of east wall is double doorway leading to DR. It makes for only one way to arrange the furniture. The house I lived in before this one had a HUGE Square LR, but it was a rental, this one is mine...I'll live with it. When I knew it would be impossible to rearrange I spent a little extra on furniture that was just right, I love it...
