I do, but...Hey that's cause I did the window display...LOL

A few months back...when I first began my frugal adventures, I found this WONDERFUL second hand store and fell in love...sigh...
It was like walking into your Grandma's attic.

The best part is that the owner and I became fast friends. I'm helping her with her inventory and getting the place a little bit organized. I think along the time that I met her she was feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all. She'd just started the shop about 6 months previous and things were in CHAOS.

In exchange for my help I get an indepth and detailed knowledge of her merchandise. We've bartered my time for items I need. We're helping each other and I do enjoy seeing the shop coming together.

Today I purchased a Nordic Track for $25 and bartered for a beautiful (style not color) high back living room chair. Excellent condition...But I'll need to recover it...mustard yellow isn't my thing...lol

Last week I found biege crushed velvet material to make arm covers and a runner for my other L.Rm. Chair...I've totally revamped my home over the past few months and I feel like a little kid in the candy store every time I look through the Thrift Store Window...smile

WHY does Ohio need to be sooo far from Oregon? This sounds like a place I would LOVE to visit!

That is great that you can help her out and that you can also get items you need.. It is also neat that you became friends with her as well.

Ladies,
Small towns are great places to live. We just hit it off...I loved the feeling of Christmas...surprise...you'll never know what you'll find next. She's a very forthright lady and has turned packratting into a business. We help each other out and enjoy one anothers company in the process.

Wish Oregon were closer, too...I think all of you ladies would enjoy Judy's...If I can't find it anywhere else...I go to Judy's...hehehe

I'm actually getting to the point that I check there before I go to Walmart....ROFLMAO

My face is not ever pressed to the window because my legs are too busy taking me into the store, LOL! Our local thrift stores are some of my very favorite places to be. I call thrift shopping my "therapy". I can go relax, look around, and if I buy something not feel too guilty because I know it is a bargain.

SNIFFFFFFLE....WAAAAAAAAAAAA

Judy told me today that when her lease is up she's closing shop....waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Well, I understand it...I don't think she realized what she was getting into when she decided to open the shop. I love her to pieces and will stay in contact with her. I will miss the shop, too. But I have Judy's home number and there are other thrift shops...hehehe

Judy is a pretty awesome lady! She just doesn't have the patience to sit in a store on a slow day...lol I don't know that I would either!
