I think chenille throws are the easiest way to give your livingroom a facelift. (more bang for your buck)

They are easy to change, relatively inexpensive, and come in a huge variety of colors and styles.
What items do you think jazz up a livingroom, but don't cost a lot.

Making my own covers for my pillow forms. You can change them anytime you want to. And they are easy to make!

:) I love to use potted house plants that are nested in different baskets, especially ones that trail like ivy and philadendrom. They give the room a nice lift and help clean the air too! Another favorite way to make a room look and feel welcoming is to have a few cats asleep on the couches and chairs! LOL! Works for us since everyone goes right to the cats when they come in.:paw: :cat: :cat: :cat:

I love chenille too....so comfy and soft
Because my G-Mom made somany quilts I have them over the rail at the loft and also a couple thrown over the sofas.
It is so nice to wrap up in one when its cold....my house is very dressed down, so the quilts seem to say welcome.

I saw a beautiful chenille throw at Value Village today and thought of this thread and bought it! It is plaid with lovely shades of purple and green....best part...only 4.99$!!!
I also happened upon a spring green area rug (I think, it may be another throw, but I am going to use it as a rug) for 9.99. I am getting SO excited for my new apartment, I am reading these decorating threads with interest!
Question though, can I wash this throw in the washing machine? (I always wash the stuff I get a Value Village)
