She use to have blinds and when we insulated the upstairs, we had to take the blinds off. Dh needed some blinds in his workshop as the sun came directly on his scrollsaw, so I gave them to him.
Yesterday I decided to make some curtains for her room. She wanted them Victorian style, so I took some cream colored quilting material I had left over from a quilt. I put a ruffle on the top (with lace) in dark burgundy with little roses on it. I made tye-backs (with lace) in the same burgundy material which was left over from a quilting project I had done.
Cost - close to nil. (All left over material from quilting.)
She loves them and they do look really pretty in her room. Wish I had a digital camera, I'd post a picture.
