I've always wanted to rent one and drive across country. Have any of you ever done something like this?

I have a 26 foot motorhome, I bought it used, cash and got a great deal on it..... I love it !!!!!!!! I haven't taken it more than 100 miles from home...... Renting them is very costly, shop around..... Most have said you travel traditionally for what you pay for rental......

I used to have a motorhome but it was quite small and only served us while we had 2 children, it went ages ago and then I bought a tent and that was too much like hard work for me LOL so I sold it on eBay and now I have a trailer tent.

We have a nice older motorhome, it is a 33 foot 1976 model but it is in great shape. We love it, but we don't go any long distances in it since it only gets 4 miles to the gallon:( . We go to several lakes nearby and camp all the time.

When dh first got sick, we bought an OLD motorhome that had been very well maintained by an older couple. It has worked well for the 5 of us. We have taken it to the east coast, Canada, Wisconsin, northern and southern IL, Ark., MO., and of course KY!
