That is wonderful! I am not a homeschooling mom and I would love to have a couple of those desks. They would be great for the kids to use while coloring and such. What a find!

Amanda, good for you! We had one of those we kept out on the porch in our other home. The kids used to draw ,color, read and "play school" all the time when they were little. Seemed like all the neighborhood kids sat at that desk at one time or another. :) One of my better garage sale finds.

Each one of our dk's had one of those desks from a garage sale when they were small. They all did their homework, drawings and played school with them too!
Oh Carolyn, what I would give to have one of those old desks! What a deal that was!

Not to mention that once they no longer wish to use it you could use it as a planter for your porch! I'd line it with a think heavy gage rubber liner, apply a couple of coats of deck protector, and add small interesting plants to it!. Congrats on your deal.

That's great! I found an old desk on a curb last summer and it's been sitting in the basement, waiting to be painted for dd's room. Maybe I'll tackle it this summer.
