I'm looking to replace part of my Oster kitchen center and have been watching items for a while now. There is an auction ending tonite and I would really like to have this one. Can anyone give me any pointers or insiders secrets on getting the winning bid? I'm an ebay newbie, just incase you can't tell.

Well there are 3 ways I know of
1) set a really high max bid (however high you are willing to go)
2) use sniperware, these programs enter your max bid at the last second on auctions (FYI many people use this and many people hate the ones that use it!)
3) it takes approx 2-3 seconds to refresh the page, so get really good, fast and accurate at hitting the refresh button (this is one of the 2 things I do, I do not use sniperware)

You can wait till the last few secs to bid or use sniper.com
I've never used sniper but a friend has..she said sometimes you get it,sometimes not....

I usually bid at the very last min..just watch the mins or secs and type in your bid etc. Also. I bid a little over what I really want to pay JUST IN CASE someone else is also watching :)

Good Luck!

my mom waits till the very last 2 min. then enters her max bid. she usually does pretty good. she actually got her kitchen center off ebay. the person hadn't posted a picture of it, but she took her chances and it turned out to be just like new!! good luck! let us know if you win!!;)

They are the only ways I know too and I've been doing it quite a while.

We have auction steal (which sounds like your sniper) and I have used it. Alls fair in love and war LOL. However a few times it's failed to put my bid in, so I don't bother with it anymore.

I would say leave it until a few minutes towards the end (not too close just to be on the safe side) And put in Your MAXimum bid plus a little, then if you don't win you wont be upset because you know you wouldn't have paid more anyway.

BTW it won't take the price up to your maximum UNLESS the other bidder has put in a maximum close to yours or higher, it just goes up to the next bid price.

Good Luck and keep us posted ;)

I would really love to have this one, b/c I have all the other stuff and this is just the piece that I need.
