Myriahs grandmother called last night and myriah told her she needed socks. Well the child has socks and tons of them i bought her a package 2 weeks ago and her grandparents sent her like 10 pair last month, So now i look like i dont' A} buy socks B} wash the ones she has. This is the latest thing and when i said something to her about when she got off the phone she said she didn't hear me. Well HELLO earth to Myriah not only did she SEE me and HEAR me she was looking right at me when i said it. She is also lying to everyone telling them we are moving. I dont' know what has gotten into this child lately, she is now grounded for another week. (she is grounded all the time but maybe now i should take the tv away.) *usually it is no friends period* how do you keep your children from lying, *yes i did go though this with keiko and she finally learned when she missed halloween.
sorry to vent guys

Well i talked to our therapist and she said take the fun stuff away and next time she does it make her call her grandmother right back up and tell her she lied. (which I will). figuring it will not happen many times if she is embarrassed enough. Thanks Robin.

I would ABSOLUTELY hate to admit I lied. That sounds like good sound advice. The phone is a great tool to take away, so is the TV and radio. Make her read or study.

Sorry Robin, I wouldn't PUNISH her with reading and studying, I would let her do nothing and reward her a little and allow her to read.... I say send her to live with Aunt Lori ........ :D :D :D and you and Roman come too !!!!!!!!! We'll all go yard saling..... It's very therapeutic !!!!!!!!!!!

The advice about making her admit her lies would be tough, that should cure the lies !!!!!!!!

Sending you {{{{{hugs}}}}} Heaven. I wish I had some great advice but I have not figured it out myself, DD is 16 and she still tells some whoppers once in a while. It is usually to get her brother in trouble though:mad: , she is a little toot sometimes.

Making her admit she lied and apologise for it is a brilliant thing to do. My mother actually did this to me when I was about 6 and even now I don't really lie!

Thinking of you Heaven xxxx - Yard sailing (if it's car boots lol) sounds ok with me too ;)

Oh and guess what? This too shall pass (SORRY - really honest! Just couldn't resist it)
