What do you do with all of the stuff you declutter? I give some to charity, sell some at garage sales and sell the rest on Ebay. This is how I decide...

If it is new or lightly used and small it goes on Ebay.

If it is new or lightly used and heavy it goes in a garage sale.

Everything else goes to the thrift stores.
What do you do with your "junk" and how do you decide?

i give all my old unwanted stuff to a thrift store that is right down the road from my house. it is run by the local christian school.

when they sell my stuff i get a check for half of what they sold it for. :)

We try to live simply so there is as little to de-clutter at all, but when it does happen:
His music equipment is sold at a resale music shop.
My friends and I pass alot back and forth-especially those formal clothes you only can wear a few times before people talk, also books and magazines.
Any household things, especially inherited items, are donated to a church thrift shop-get a receipt and use as a tax deduction.
I also donate food and personal items that I get free or close to free to a local homeless shelter, they appreciate it and again-tax deduction, I even donated a car last month that was no longer drivable-I'm looking at approximaetly $6,000 in deductions this year, through donations of things I no longer need, will help someone else, and I didn't have to bother selling a thing.:)

We give things to our church's thrift shop. It has to be still good though, if it is junk I toss it. The way I decide if it is junk is I ask myself if it is something I would be willing to buy if I were looking for that particular thing.
