Thanks, but this is not altogether accurate... I have cereal in my pantry right now that has an expiration date of Nov. 2003, that is clearly longer than 6 months. and the length of time things like meat can be kept in the freezer depends much on their storage.... Meat sealed well and kept from burn can keep for years... Use your best judgment before you start pitching stuff out !!!!!!
