View Full Version : Do you FLY with Fly Lady?
Michelle 01-09-2002, 09:25 AM Do you participate in FLYing with the Fly Lady? If so, this question is for you:
When it comes time to do the 27 fling boogie...what do you fling? Do you fling big, clutter-y things or do you count a piece of paper as one of your things to fling?
:hearts:
piscesgirl 01-13-2002, 11:08 AM Newbie here to answer! I remember reading one of the FlyLady emails that said you can count a piece of paper as an item when doing the 27-Fling Boogie. And, I have done just that!!:)
Michelle 01-13-2002, 11:50 AM Welcome to the boards :) Thanks for answering my question--I had wondered and had started counting the paper as items too :)
NativeMommyof2 01-19-2002, 02:14 AM I just started getting e-mails from Fly.
It has helped me so much and the other day I did my first 27 fling boogie. I went crazy ... at first I was not sure what I would toss out but after walking around my house a few times I start tossing everything out. LOL It startedout with some paper then some books and stoped with a few pair of shoes.
mustang80 06-27-2002, 10:14 AM bump I do flylady but have fell off the wagon since DD's have been home from school. They now have chores to help out, and this helps me stay focused.
Dixie 06-27-2002, 01:55 PM I find Flylady to be very inspirational. Lately though, I haven't received e-mails from her. It's been close to a month, now. Anybody else not getting e-mails?
Megareader 06-28-2002, 05:40 PM I count a piece of paper as one of the items in the 27 fling boogie, not many pieces of paper went into the bag though and it did fill up quickly. FlyLady is fun but I do have to admit I don't shine the sink daily.
crdurham 06-28-2002, 05:51 PM Hey ladies!!! I have been frugal for years, but have never heard of this Flylady....can someone give me a link for her website??
thanks so much!! I believe everyone in the world knows about her but me......lol...
Jerseygirl 06-28-2002, 08:41 PM I don't fly, I have visited the site on a few occassions and just can't get into it. I have issues when anyone tells me what to do, so I kinda was lost at the whole shine your sink thing.

doodlebug 06-29-2002, 09:35 PM :bigglass: I had never heard of this site. Thanks! I can certainly use some incentives to get my house decluttered and clean:newbie:
mom2knk 06-29-2002, 09:50 PM I tried Fly Lady once but got overwhelmed just reading the daily e-mails!! I did finally switch to the digest version but I didn't stick with it very long. I am really thinking about re-joining, my house could sure use it!!!!!:D
AmyBoz 06-29-2002, 11:10 PM Like mom2knk, I got overwhelmed with the e-mails and couldn't keep up with her requests when I got home from work. However, having this thread bumped did inspire me to do the 27 boogie fling yesterday and it felt good. Maybe I'll keep up with that piece of it.
bmiltimore 06-29-2002, 11:45 PM I signed up and I love the morning, afternoon and evening routines. I reminds me to stay on top of trash, laundry, meals, etc.
I also like her suggestion to get up and dressed each morning. Sometimes on the weekend I stay in my jammies all day and I feel so BLAH!
CAGmomof2 07-11-2002, 09:57 AM I at one time used Fly Lady but I fell on the Fly Lady wagon I could not keep up with the email letters less more with the tips she would use to help others out!! Personally Fly Lady was and is not for me!! :)
