As I mentioned before, I collect Depression Glass. I also collect teapots and paperweights. I haven't added to my collection in quite awhile though.

I have HUNDREDS of cookbooks! They are all over the house, bookshelves, closets, basement, etc. I also collect Mary's Moo Moo's. DH never complains about my collections, because he collects more than me! (Trains, matchbox, tools, etc.) Our house is bursting with collections!

I collect way too many things. Everyone always gives me a bad time about all of my "junk". I collect McCoy Pottery, angels, old tin and metal items, potholder dolls, tea pots, Native American dolls, dolls from places I have traveled, floaty pens, toilet paper cover dolls, old tablecloths and basically, old things. I love antiques and just things from the past. I am a real pack rat! :smball:

And I am happy about it!

My best friend has been collecting "Precious Moments" figurines forever. She has at least 200, probably more. For the longest time after I would visit her I would be a little sad that I didn't have a "collection" of something and I would try to think of something to collect. Finally after many years and a half a dozen moves, I realized that I don't want to collect anything. :) I am happy with the hodge podge of stuff I have and I don't need 200 figurines to dust.

Oddly enough I collect Jeff Gordon #24 rainbow warrior nascar things. I have done an extensive collection in my sons room. I also collect angels, cherubs mostly. Just love them. And I want to start collecting the pillsbury doughboy. I got a cookie jar and salt and pepper; shakers for a gift. To cute.

I forgot to mention my old viewmaster collection. *LOL*
I was really into collecting the slides and viewers for awhile. I started to collect a bit too many and it became a bit much.

It was a lot of fun to break them out when friends came over though. The new ones just aren't the same as the old ones.

I collect a few things--but I never buy them for myself. They are always gifts for my birthday, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc.

I collect Boyd's Bears (stuffed), Swarovski crystal, and I just started buying a few Precious Moments for my daughters. I never cared for them too much until I had my first dd who has big brown eyes like they do. :)

Antiques-antiques books, glassware, pictures, kitchen items, anything just about antique. I bought a thimble on ebay for 9.00 and it was dated back to 1500 BC(certified), why I have it I don't know but I thought it was just cool to have something that old. I have my DM first baby dress and her sister's that died in infancy. A stuffed animal that my grandma had as a child. I collect cow stuff and birdhouses. Really just about anything that I think will be worth something one day to hand down to my dks. I must admit I also am a packrat, not a good thing to be when you are married to military:(

I have started collecting the Nancy Drew books. I am buying the re-released ones at Sam's (5 in a pack for $9.99). I would also love to find the older ones, but I never see them at garage sales or thrift stores and I don't want to pay $5.50 and up per book at a used book store. I did find a 1962 copyright Hardy Boys book at Goodwill the other weekend for 59¢ and I would love to find more.

I have a lot of cookbooks too and am always on the lookout for those.

Other than that I don't really collect anything right now.

I collect just about everything. LOL.

Actually, that's not quite true. I have in the past collected:
Knick Knacks of ducks (and assorted others), old canning jars, cannisters. Those collections are pretty much "dead." I culled the canning jars and cannisters to just my favorites. I did keep the nick nacks I collected growing up...can't part with those as most were gifts and are well enjoyed daily (in my curio).

I still actively collect books--especially various types of cookbooks and household books. I don't necessarily go out searching for them but if I find them in a used books shop or thrift shop will buy them. On vacation I like to go to old shops and look for additions to this collection as souveniers. I have bought a few off ebay but really don't actively search that way anymore. I am still actively trying to fill out my Southern Living Annuals and Christmas annuals to fill in the gaps (then need to finish up a couple other sets...but they will be pricier). I always have a long wishlist of books in general, in addition to cookbooks. (Big readers here!)

I also have a small collection of character spoons. Some are from my childhood, some are purchases I have made over the years (ebay, junk shops, etc).

Magazines--organic gardening, mother earth, countryside. I don't actively search out old editions anymore but if I find them somewhere I do pick them up. I DO still have subs to my favorites and keep those as additions.

I also like and collect Wilton Cake pans, cookie cutters, cookie molds/stamps, and various other assorted items. I have in the past collected enamelware/graniteware (Which I do use!) but am not currently actively seeking more pieces. I can only use so many, lol. I do have one set I would like three more pieces for but haven't been hunting (pricey pieces I don't need to spend on right now....they go for about $10 each on ebay and are soup bowl sized.)

I have an odd assorted collection of mugs and glasses on a top shelf that I alone use. I like to choose my mug/cup depending on my mood, lol and have many favorites.....

CD's...just a small collection, mainly Native American and Celtic music, and "nature" music--stuff with nature sounds as the whole cd or behind classical or quiet music.

Computer files--I have a big collection of stuff saved to cd, lol. I USED to print all that. Ack. It fills a shelf bound in comb binders. Thank goodness for cd burners we now can use!

I don't really collect anything. I do enjoy antique jewelry and have inherited many pieces, a few I have had reconfigured to make wearable-my grandmother enjoyed an ostentatious show of wealth that even I won't wear, DH has also provided me with a few pretty baubles. I also have a few antique evening bags and hats that I use. For a while I had a number of carousel ponies and other old amusement paraphonalia, but it got out of hand as it was an easy gift for people to buy for me, they have been in storage for 4 years, may come out as I put together a nursery.

I collect old milk bottles and milk glass. I actually have most of it stored in a closet right now because I really don't have a great place to display them and I got tired of dusting them, lol.

I am very interested in depression glass now though. I am going to do some research in the library about it. I think it might be my new love :D .

I collect Coca Cola stuff. My kitchen is done in it. I have teapots, mugs, salt and pepper shakers, cars, cookie jars, etc. I can't wait until we build onto our home, so that I can make my kitchen look like a 50's diner. :)

The only thing I collect is unique old salt and pepper shakers - I'm always looking through antique stores for them. My latest find is a pair of art deco red and white ones from the 1930's - they were also a great deal at $9.50! :smball:

DUST! Only kidding...I really don't collect anything. No space for it. However, it's interesting that you collect Nancy Drew books, Quilter Mom, because last year at a garage sale, I got 3 originals and have been searching for more ever since! I LOVED them growing up, but I want the originals. I'll keep looking!

I collect fairy figures and very old fairy tale books. They live in their own case in my living room except for the few fairies that are gathering near my fireplace.

I also collect teddy bears that have their own places (bear-sized park bench, time out corner, etc.) throughout the house.

I'm a clutterbug and I collect a lot of stuff! Most of what I have had the longest is crafting supplies - silk flowers, paints, baskets, clays of all sorts and wooden doo-dads and objects I can't even recall why I got them.

I was collecting angels but got overloaded with figures and statues of them and at least one angel can still be found in every room of my home.

I started collecting Sailor Moon dolls until I was satisfied I had every one of them, then they made a whole new series so I quit!

I also have decorative bird houses, teapots, and TWEETY bird stuffed animals and items, novelties.

Then there is the stuffed bunny collection (for Eatster, of course) and the teddy bear collection and numerous clocks all over my spare room.

I have books and magazines, too. Cookbooks, craftbooks, frugal books, a bit of everything.

My daugher is worse than me... don't ask!!!

WOW! I sure have a lot of stuff now that I think about it.

It's interesting to read what the rest of you collect.
