I thought this may give you all some ideas for your kids so they eat better at the ball parks this summer. :D
Summer Fun in the Bleachers
Q: My family spends a lot of time at the little league park and soccer field. Hot dogs and nachos seem to be a steady diet. I would love to have some ideas for simple kid-friendly meals that could be eaten in the bleachers.
- Thanks, Sue
A: Wow, your question really rings true for me! With two boys who have always been involved in sports, I try my best to bring foods along that are satisfying and good for the whole family. At the same time, I know they need to be fun and appealing enough to compete with the ever-available hot dogs and nachos!
The tasty recipes below are portable, kid-friendly, and simple, too. Don’t forget to bring some fruit as well as your own beverages when you can. Milk and juice needn’t be replaced by pop in the summer.
SUMMERTIME BAGELWICH
Sandwiches with a new twist--turkey, cheese and vegetables piled high on bagels.
