Ok, as I said I could talk 80's all day, so bear with me as I try to keep focused on only clothes. *LOL*

Remember all of the ever so cool things? *LMAO*

Headbands? Legwarmers?
I was loving my ankle socks with the lace on top. *LOL*
How about all the pins? Rock pins? Friendship pins? *LOL*
Designer jeans? oh my

What clothes do you remember?

Those barrettes woven with ribbon and streamers coming down

Decorated shoelaces--the pretty colorful ones
Michael Jackson "leather" jackets
Rubber bracelets

I am cracking up. Were we just the coolest? *LMAO* The comb in the back pocket makes me laugh so hard.

Do you remember those rocker tshirts? Ours in our town said "I'm a rocker". I think mostly rock tshirts in general were such the rave, but these were from radio stations.

I was loving my mini skirt, legwarmers and chinese shoes.

Jelly shoes: good one! Man, those things were uncomfortable!

How about Dr. Scholl's wooden slides and clogs. How could I forget those? I wanted a pair so badly when I was in 4th grade, and my parents said no way. :(

Dude-I was the coolest-at least I thought so-Hi-top reebocks, one red and one black like Julian Lennon wore, dark button fly jeans that I poured big bleach stains down the front of-like Adam Ant wore- and a big wool mens blazer with a huge collection of rock buttons on one side-like Alan Hunter of Mtv wore and hair that I changed with each new Duran Duran video. This was all before Madonna--then I really got crazy. Dude, I was cool :D

Goodness, I guess I'm so out of it....
(don't forget pegging the bottom of the jeans....)

Hmmmm I must be wierd, I STILL will carry a comb in my backpocket, so useful. I STILL like Dr. Scholl's sandals and clogs of the type described above (have three pair of the sandals...I wear them or moccasins pretty much all the time unless doing something that requires boots (due to cold or activity)

I still have some legwarmers. I kick myself over having gotten rid of the ones that came all the way up like tights...those babies were WARM...they were basically thick knit stockings except with no feet...I WANT THEM BACK!!! Whoever got them from the thrift shop, mail them back, lol. I do have about three or four pair (just wore them a week ago too! when we had snow here.

I've still got a pair of stirrup pants too, comfy. And, if I'm not in jeans, I'm usually in cordoroy pants and often a cordouroy zip up jacket to go with it....whether wearing jeans or cord's.

Course I used to have an army jacket I wore a lot and a poodle skirt on occasion (why did I ever get rid of either, they were huge favorites...)....don't forget blue jean jackets....

The one I remember..I don't know if it was early nineties, but I remember those shirts that would change color when you put your hand on them..they were two toned..

OMG! I HAD to have a comb in my back pocket to comb back my "wings"! LOL! The black rock t-shirts with the white 3/4 sleeves were a must at my school. I saved enough money to buy a Van Halen shirt. Also-saved my money for my first pair of NIKE sneakers with the "swoosh"-an upgrade from my Converse All Star hi top Chuck Taylor sneakers! I remember "new wave" or punk rock-wearing zipper earrings and safety pins on my shirts-how stupid! Late 80's was BIG hair, but I was out of school then-didn't do much of that.

How about jeans with the huge hole in the knees? Were ear muffs a totally 80's thing too? The only thing I really think of when I hear 80's is the big hair, ton of makeup and a whole can of hairspray.

My parents should have bought stock in Rave and Aquanet hairspray. I went through it by the case.
