Ok I will work on getting this organized anyone who wants to attend is more than willing to post and give me an idea of the ideal time. Kids are getting ready to start school so it will probably need to be a weekend or is labor day open to anyone? We will be at six flags on Sept.13 so that is the only day I am booked. Everyone give me an idea of your schedule and I will pick a time that suits the most people. Also after we nail down a date everyone that can make it can sign up to bring something for a picnic lunch. Oh I will get a pic posted so you will know who your looking for when we get there.

Sounds great! That is dd's 2nd birthday weekend (the 28th is her birthday) so I would probably have gone to IL to celebrate with family anyway. It will take me probably 2 hours to get from the in-laws house to there, give or take traffic, so I am not sure what would be good to bring. Maybe something cold that I can keep in a cooler. (I don't want to give anyone food poisoning!!)

captclearance

Here are some suggestions..... suggestions only, but may help in planning.........
Here is a map of the St. Louis Zoo.... If you look to the top of the page you will see the "North Entrance"
http://www.stlzoo.org/zoomap2000.asp
it is where you go into "The Living World" the parking nearby is FREE on the street IN MARKED AREAS, watch for Do Not Park Here signs, as they will ticket...... This is a good place to park (If you are there early (Before 9:00 am) The children's zoo area and the Insectarium are FREE if you enter before 10:00 am. It opens at 9:00 a.m..... I would suggest that we first go to the insectarium and butterfly free fight cage and then the childrens zoo.... That way the kids will have plenty of time to do both..... Once your in the childrens zoo for free you can stay as long as you want..... The hours that time of year are 9:00 am to 5:00pm.... we can stay as long as you like or leave as early as you like. there is an area outside the park to picnic or manyother places in Forrest park...... we can do anything that you'd like, I thought I would bring some prizes for games after lunch, suggest some easy any age games.......
Here are some zoo details........
Penguin & Puffin Coast Now Open
http://www.stlzoo.org/content.asp?page_name=PenguinPuffin

The Jungle of the Apes in now re-open......
Here is a link to "The Big Thank You " it's a site with discounts on St Louis attractions....check often as they change from time to time........
http://www.bigthankyou.org/index2.htm

I will have 5 in my group.......
2 adults and three children.....
2- 12 years old girls and 1- 7 year old boy.......

I'm not sure how many of us are coming yet. I'll be there, probably my dh , and my 14 you dd. Perhaps my 16 yo ds. My oldest son has to work, so he'll be missing all the fun. 16 yo may have to referee a soccer game, so he might miss it as well.

Ladies, my dd would like to have a game with the kids but she'll need them to wear an animal shirt, any animal they have and have them learn a couple of facts about that animal and she will give prizes..... if they don't have a shirt, then have the bring an animal picture out of a amgizine or draw one themselves....
