Does anyone have a recipe for homemade garlic bread? I have been experimenting a bit trying to come up with the right balance of butter and garlic salt, but haven't had any luck yet.

I would use fresh garlic or garlic powder...... The garlic salt is just too salty....... this one is fairly easy and you'll be glad you made a bit of extra effort to do it.... peel 2 globes of garlic, rub with butter or marg. and place in a baking dish... bake at 350 f for 1 hour....... squeeze the garlic out of the globe and mix with a couple of tbspns of butter or marg. spread on bread and broil or grill....... This simple stuff is great for sauteing veggies or brushing on meat ........ hth couponchic 09-05-2003, 08:19 PM Thanks!!! Will have to give it a try.
