I still listen to the latest in the hip-hop, backstreet boys, Usher, J-Lo etc. I like classic rock and rock from the late 80's and early 90's. I was just wondering because at my age my DM was listening to 'old country' and here I am hanging on to my youth and trying to stay up with my dd. I just like it too, but I feel I should be too old to still be listening to it. Long live NSYNC lol:)

I'll be Rap fan till the day i die!
I'm wierd, One minute i'm listening to Busta Rhymes and Biggie(1972-1997 RIP)(for those who don't know :censor: they have bad words :surprise: ) and the next minute, Frank Sinatra.

And of course, La-La-La-La La-La-La-La Elmo's world!

Bevv,
There are people in all age groups here. I think there are actually more over 30 than under 30.

I like oldies too. I will listen to just about anything, but don't enjoy country and haven't been liking jazz lately. My music taste has changed. I used to really enjoy jazz.

I think I am one of the "Elderly" on this site:D . I enjoy so many types of music! I love jazz, classical, classic rock ( my favorites include: The Who, Bad Company, Van Halen, The Kinks, etc.). I even enjoy easy listening:eek:. The only types of music I am not crazy about is rap and the old country stuff. My favorite music right now is Andrea Bocelli and Michael McDonald, who has been a favorite of mine for years.

I'm not a rap fan, not a big country fan-I can handle some of the crossover stuff, but otherwise I am a huge music fan. I love all the Jersey bands, Bruce, Bon Jovi, Southside Johnny etc, love Sinatra, grew up with the Mamas and Papas, The Doors, Janis Joplin and Carol King, and Motown, and I fall peacefully to sleep with soft jazz at night.

I like Smashing Pumpkins, The Tragically Hip, Led Zeppelin, CCR, Rolling Stones, BTO and relaxation music when I got to sleep at night. I have a huge collection of Mp3s with nature sounds, meditation.

I like about any type of music but I do enjoy older titles from the 70s.

I love 80s music. I'm not too fond of the newer pop stuff, but I do like some songs by The Backstreet Boys, N Sync, Brittany, etc.

I like some country...though I don't go out of my way to listen to it. My dh is a heavy metal fan, mostly older stuff like Queensryche, Metallica, etc, and I like some of that stuff too.

So I guess a little bit of a lot of stuff...but not opera or too much classical.

I listen to classical music most of the time; it sure helps me get through my day at the office! The station I listen to in my area is WETA 90.9 FM, and the announcers have soothing voices! Here are some other favorites for me:

1. Classical

2. Irish traditional (The Chieftains, Altan, Cherish The Ladies to name a few)

3. Rock / Folk from the '60's and EARLY '70's when we had some really GOOD music (you can tell this ages me!)

I like to listen to the old Fleetwood Mac stuff, Phil Colins, and I love the Beach Boys. I try to keep up with who is popular, so I know who my 14 year old is talking about. It seems Brittany Spears is more popular with the little girls than teens.

I really enjoyed Alicia Keys's album, Songs In A Minor. I really like the remake of the old Prince song. Anyone else like this album? I'm a big hip-hop, r&b, and trance fan. By the way, I just won a $10 blockbuster gift card off of a site called www.e-poll.com. It's free and you get points for answering survey polls. I've been doing it for about 2 months now. I recommend this to all you freebies freaks like me!!!! Peace, Love, and Nappiness!

Alien Ant Farm is kind of pop-punk. They were great in concert. (one of my favorite forms of entertainment!)

My tastes lean toward the hard rock and metal, especially things like A Perfect Circle. I also have a soft spot in my heart for independant music not signed to a big 6 label, and self-produced music. (cdbaby.com is a great place to find it. Check out Atoosa and Alpha Conspiracy for two examples.)

If it is from a major label, I wait for a while and look for it used if I really want the CD.

I also happen to have a rather large instrumental and classical collection, some acoustic rock, a bit of R&B, some 70s, and my mp3 collection has EVERYTHING.
