View Full Version : How many children do you have?
mommie2luvbug 02-01-2002, 01:58 PM I'm sorry if this question was asked before.
I would like to know how many children do you have and if you are planning to have more?
I have a son who was born on May 19, 2000 and since I asked if you are planning any more I will let the cat of the bag and say that dh and I are TTC #2 (well we got off the depo shot on Jan 11 2002 which was the next time for the shot and I didn't get it)
Jerseygirl 02-01-2002, 06:25 PM Dh has a son and we are currently in the process of adopting one, just one.:)
Michelle 02-01-2002, 07:17 PM I have two little girls (as you can see from my signature line). I would love to have one more child, but we just can't do it financially. It's taken me a while to come to terms with this reality, but I think I'm finally at a place where I can be happy with just two. :)
CarrotCake 02-01-2002, 07:26 PM I have 12year old boy. He is an only child as well as the only grandchild (on one side).
More? No, we are done. :D

Are you adopting domestic or international? My husband translates dossiers for Haitian adoptions. Oh my, I go to one of the international adoption websites and my heart just aches over it.
We have my little guy. (26 mos) I am not sure if we will have any more children. I feel our family isn't complete yet though. My husband would like another child. I am not sure if I am quite ready, so we are in the discussion phase of second child planning. *LOL*

Clementine 02-01-2002, 09:17 PM We have three children
dd#1 is 14
ds is 9 and
dd#2 is 5.
Any more? No, no, no, noooooooooooo
Jerseygirl 02-01-2002, 11:17 PM Hi Sara-We are trying to adopt through the state foster to adopt program, friends have had very good luck with it, so far it's just red tape-we start our classes next week. It's hard because there are so many special needs children that are in need, which I would be ok with, but having one already, I can't ask Dh to go through it again, which is why we are adopting to begin with. It's a rough process emotionally, I just want it to move along.
JEATON 02-01-2002, 11:43 PM My husband and I have 3 boys. Our oldest is 6 and our twins are 4. No more for us, thank you.
krazeeblonde1959 02-02-2002, 06:32 AM DH has three
ds#1 age 30
ds #2 age 25
dd age 20
I have two
dd age 21
ds age 18
As you can tell by the ages of our kids there ain't no way we would even THINK about having another!
Now we just let the kiddos have the babies and we spoil 'em!
mom of seven 02-02-2002, 07:14 AM I have seven children  I have three of my own, a 5yr girl, 6yr boy, 12yr girl. I have a 16yr old step-son, my 8 yr old nephew and his two sisters ages 13 and 15 have been living with me since the death of their father four yrs ago.
I have started to homeschool my children this year. It is not an easy task, but I will get through it.
They are all lovely, bright children with special talents. All prayers would be appreciated....LOL:)
I have two children, a daughter who is 28 and a son who is 26.
Three grandchildren, ages 7, 4 and 1.5
Minnie401 02-02-2002, 06:27 PM We have three:
Jennie,14
Kevin,12
Brian,10
When our last one was about two, I wanted another, (I come from a family of 5 kids) but Hubby was against that one, now that I am creeping up on the age of 41, I say no way! It can be a little sad though, when you realize you can't have anymore.

KathiS 02-07-2002, 04:08 AM I am so pleased to see how many grandmothers are on this board:smball: . I just love being a grandmother! We have a son, James, that is thirty-five and a daughter, Dana, that will be thirty- two in April. Both of our children have two little girls, thus the names at the bottom of my posts! Brandee is eleven, Chelsee is nine, Lizabeth is seven and Laine is two.
MANDERS 02-14-2002, 01:45 AM We have 2 one of each lauren is 4 and Cannon is almost 10 mo.We were going to have my tubes tied when we had cannon but my mom and my best friend were in there when the nurse asked if i still wanted to have it done, well needless to say they were the only 2 people that didn't want me to have it done and got dirty looks from both of them.We got an IUD instead(i know i know a lot of negative things have been said about them, but there is also sideaffects to the pill too)Anyways I get it taken out in 9 1/2 yrs or sooner if i wish, but i just don't think I will,I am a young mom(happy 22nd to me next tues)and dh and i didn't have a lot of time together before dd was born so i look at the time when they grow up will be our time.Who know though my step mom was 40 wehn she had my dbro and 42 with my dsis.
Karla 02-14-2002, 04:29 AM I have 3 children ds 21 away in service, dd is 18 and left the nest, ds is 15. As for having more children that is impossible although i do tease my dh about "buying one" at the baby sales. Love them as I do I'm patiently waiting for the grandkids to some day come along.
anonyMouse 02-15-2002, 09:49 PM We have two lil darlings. Our son will be 4 in April and we have a 4 month old daughter. We'd like to have a third in about another year so.

mustang80 02-17-2002, 11:16 PM We have 3 girls as seen in my signature line, and we are done. After 3 c-sections I have called it quits! :)
pat123123 02-18-2002, 10:08 AM Just one here---a sweet seven year old son.
I'd like another....boy or girl would be fine (though another boy would be MUCH more convenient as far as bedroom space goes...would have to give up my library/office for a girl but would gladly do so!
Actually, I would be happy to have a couple more, maybe a total of four but it doesn't seem too likely. I think dh might balk at four, lol....
Gloria 02-25-2002, 01:42 AM Three! Ds1 is 8 years old, Ds2 is 6 years old and Dd is almost 2 years old. When they're asleep they look like angels and I dream about having 2 or 3 more children but I come to my senses the next day. :)
l3sassy 02-25-2002, 09:57 PM I have just one ds who is 16 months.:) Dh and I are talking about having another one. We have to plan it because with dh driving a truck and gone for a month at a time that is the only way.
Chocolatechocolate 02-26-2002, 02:57 AM We have four children: three boys and one girl.....20, 14, 7 and 5. Same husband and as my husband says....same wife! No more here....we are thrilled with the four and we are getting too old!
paelthom 02-26-2002, 10:58 AM Well for me just one is enough. I have an 8 year old daughter and am hitting 40 this year so I think I will just enjoy what I have.:catfly:
