I don't have any idea why, but I have been downloading patterns for crochet and knitting at al alarming pace. When I went to Hobby Lobby and WalMart, I picked up all kinds of those free pattern sheets... enough that people began looking at me. I found an old craft magazine of mine and was all happy to find a knit pattern I had ignored in it the last time I had been reading the magazine.
I know all of one stitch so far. I am hording patterns like crazy.
Does anyone else do this?? When you learn a craft do you seek out patterns, even if you aren't advanced in your knowledge yet to do them?
Maybe it's just me! :couch:

Melissa, I did the same thing when I started quilting. I got patterns from everywhere. I have 3 ring binders full of patterns and tips that I downloaded or copied out of library books. :D You will enjoy looking at those patterns and instruction sheets as your skills develop and trying new stitches. :D

Don't even ask how many patterns I have for quilting. You know how much fat quarters I have, well I have even more patterns. Will I ever use them all, probably not, but just in case, I don't want to not have it.
I use to do the same with knitting, but gave most of those away.
Your not the only one Melissa.

You sound like me with quilting. I have enough projects to last the next 20 years at least LOL. You're not the only one, I promise :)

LOL, you should see my pattern books...binders of different categories...I have one with quilting pattern sheets, another binder with cross stitch project sheets, one with basic crafts, a binder per craft. I also have quilting books, cross stitch pattern books, plastic canvas books, and so on. I am now expanding for my new interest...knitting, LOL dh is gonna tease me mercilessly.
i am so glad I am not the only one!:D

I have lots of pattern sheets that my Step-mom gave me for knitting/crochet. I also have some craft and quilting ones. I get excited about new crafts as well. ;)
