anonyMouse 02-09-2002, 11:48 AM I live in a small town with a population of less that 1500, but only 25 minutes from a city of nearly 500,000. All the comfort of the country with the convenience of a city nearby.

wife228 02-10-2002, 09:41 PM I live in a town of 2000 people. I'm originally from the big city of Cleveland ,but that was in another life. About 5 years ago. I can't take the city for anymore than one day at a time.
I am so used to peace and quiet. We have no traffic jams. A traffic jam to me is 4 horse and buggy on the road at one time. Our closest neighbor is a 1/4 mile and we like it that way.
CountryMom 02-10-2002, 11:31 PM 70,000
COUNTRYBUMPKIN 02-13-2002, 10:29 AM Our little village of Lamont currently has a population of 482.

I just looked our town's info up online. In 2000, our town had a population of 2,622. The city to our immediate west (takes mere minutes to drive into the city limits of that town) has a population of roughly 85,000 that is rapidly growing.
The town we just moved from back in May (just a 15 minute drive north of us) has a population of roughly 14,000 that is growing rapidly.
sunshine 10-21-2004, 10:25 AM I live in the boonies, the nearest town is Scottville and it has a whopping population of 120 (but I think they counted the horses, cause I can't come up with 120 people that live there), Palmyra is my official address though and it has 800 people.
Darlene 10-21-2004, 10:39 AM Our Village population in the year 2000 was 380.:)
Ellise 10-21-2004, 12:12 PM We live in a little town as well
Population (year 2000): 1,003,
Est. population in July 2002: 1,010 (+0.7% change)
Males: 469 , Females: 534
Dixie 10-21-2004, 04:46 PM Our whole county has 23,500 people. It's population has almost doubled since the 1990 census. It's a big county, too.
Ahrens65 10-21-2004, 05:34 PM Town of 329, down from 350
45,000 and we are the biggest city for 80 miles in every direction. South to OKC, East to Tulsa, North to Wichita, and West to somewhere in New Mexico, I am sure.
Newsnerd68 10-21-2004, 07:29 PM I live sort of away from everything, but thanks to urban sprawl, I'm less than 5 minutes from 'civilization.' The population of our 'metro-area' as the city leaders like to call it, is roughly 1,000,000
frugalmel 10-21-2004, 10:32 PM According to the 2000 census, there are 103,455 people in this town.
PrairieRose 10-22-2004, 10:49 AM 1950 here, most of whom I know by first names........
homesteadmamma 10-22-2004, 11:12 AM Our small rural town is just under 450, with 80 of those being seniors 80 or over in age.
We moved from a city of 700,000 but don't miss it one bit.
Katybird 10-22-2004, 01:50 PM We have less than 500, I am not sure what our last count was but we are very rural and very small. I love it here!
