I saw this booklet online that said it shows how to convert patterns from knit to crochet and crochet to knit. Does anyone knit and crochet and have a round about explanation of how to convert patterns?
I'm not a knitter, so really don't quite get how this could work. In fact, I don't really know the difference between the two other than the needles.

Do you have a link to the booklet? I'll take a look and see. :)

They charge for it. :(
That's what made me wonder. It's on the one site you linked to. http://www.knitting-crochet.com/exchange/index.html

I've never heard of it either and wonder why anyone would want to.    There are just so many different patterns in both knitting and crocheting and usually what you find in one, you can find a similar one in the other, kwim.

I saw a book called "From Hook to Needles" or was it "from Needles to hooks" that claims to be the definitive book for explaining how to convert the patterns. I might get it and try it out. :D

I used to have a link in favourites of a site who did that routinely, they were quite proud of it and it was free. I think I got there in the free knitting patterns webring but I lost the link.

I just know the info is out there for free, and the above links that you got should help but if they don't, I KNOW it is out there somewhere.

Gosh, sounds like an Xfile-- the truth is OUUUUTT THERE!!!!:abduct:
