What is your favorite way to make this cool weather dish? I was going to make some today since it's so cold here but I always make it the same way.

Do you make yours spicy, mild, white chili, etc? I'd love to see some of your recipes. :D

Yum, chili!!

I don't really have a recipe....:)

I make it in my crockpot. I throw in some ground beef, 2 cans tomato soup, a jar of Ragu (or other tomato sauce), pinch salt and pepper, shake in some parmesan cheese and some chili powder. Also, chopped onions, green pepper and diced tomatoes, a can of kidney beans and 2 cans of pork and beans.

White Chili

1 tablespoon olive oil
2 medium onions
2 cloves garlic
3 15 1/2-ounce cans white beans
2 pounds cooked white chicken -- shredded or cut into chunks
2 4-ounce cans green chilies
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 cups chicken broth

Mix all ingredients together and simmer for 30 minutes stirring occasionally-- serve.

If desired--top with tortilla chips and sour cream.

This is my favorite chili.

Chili

2 pounds ground beef
1 can tomato sauce(29 oz)
1 can kidney beans(29 oz) -- (with liquid)
1 can pinto beans(29 oz) -- (with liquid)
1 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced green chili
1/4 cup diced celery
3 medium tomatoes, -- chopped
2 teaspoons cumin powder
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
2 teaspoons salt
2 cups water

1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat; drain off the fat.

2. Using a fork, crumble the cooked beef into pea-size pieces.

3. In a large pot, combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients, and bring to a simmer over low heat. Cook, stirring every 15 minutes, for 2 to 3 hours.

For spicier chili, add 1/2 teaspoon more black pepper. For much spicier chili, add 1 teaspoon black pepper and a tablespoon cayenne pepper and for a real stomach stinger, add 5 or 6 sliced jalapeno peppers to the pot.

Leftovers can be frozen for several months. I like to freeze in individual servings and take them for lunches.

I prefer my chili a little spicy but with small kids,I can't make it that way. I do sometimes add cayenne powder to my bowl :D

I don't really have a recipe I follow,just adapted my own :)

Brown some hamburger meat, drain, add onion and cook till onion is soft. I transfer that to my crock pot (or you can cook on the stove)and add 3 cans light red kidney beans,3 cans chili style tomatoes,3 or 4 cans water,2(small) cans tomato paste, and chili powder (to taste).Cook on low for a few hours. I serve mine with crackers and or fritos and grated cheese.

Sometimes I add bell pepper.

We're having a football *party* Nov 22nd when Alabama and Auburn play and I'm making chili ...yummy! :D

Dh is the chili person here. I know he puts in a cheapo steak instead of ground hamburg. A can of beer, a can of kidney beans, black beans and sometimes a can of baked beans. He also likes to throw in some habenero peppers as well. It's too spicy for alot of people, but we love it.
