...whether Mommy likes it or not.

I've been debating when to move Julia into her big girl bed and move the crib into the nursery. I will admit, I've been putting it off, but knew better than to wait until we actually bring the baby home so she wouldn't associate the baby with taking away her "stuff". Anyway...she went up for her nap this afternoon and she spent a lot of time chatting away in the crib and then was quiet for awhile. I was doing stuff around the house and then Rob says, "Hey is that Julia?" I listen and hear her crying. I run up to her room and she's sitting in her rocking chair crying. Yeah, she climbed (or fell...who knows at this point?) out and was upset that we weren't there. So, Rob is putting together the big girl bed as we speak. Luckily, we had one ready. My old principal gave us her daughters old bed from when she bought a new bedroom set as a teenager. It's beautiful and in great condition, so we're all set. We are off to WalMart for sheets and a comforter after he's done. Wish us luck tonight!

I think moving ds into his big boy bed was more traumatic for me than it was for him. I am debating on when to put hannah into a big girl bed. but for now she isn't trying to get out at all. SHe wont be two till March, so i am thinking sometime this year, but I don't know when yet.

Best of luck with Julia getting into her new bed. MAybe if she gets to pick the sheets and bedding, maybe it will encoourage her to sleep in it?

I'm with Melissa! The first night was harder on me! There were a few tears on both sides - but nothing feels better than being a big girl!!

UNBELIEVEABLE!!! She went right to sleep and slept straight through and instead of getting out of bed in the morning, she just lay there talking about her big girl bed. I could hear her through the monitor. Dh and I were so proud! Now if she would just stop going to the bathroom in her Pull-Ups, we'd be all set!
