I had a short white dress that I could wear after our wedding. We eloped so it wasn't fancy.

AmyBoz 12-27-2003, 11:35 AM Here's Mine: homesteadmamma 12-27-2003, 11:37 AM Oh Amy, your dress was beautiful and you made a beautiful bride. oooooh I hope others post pictures too. Heather 12-27-2003, 11:42 AM Oh Amy, you are stunning!! Heather 12-27-2003, 12:03 PM Here is mine, I had to take a picture of a picture so there are a few "bright spots" The back of my dress was scalloped about half way down my back. Heather 12-27-2003, 12:05 PM Another one: DH and I have been married 16 years on the 12th of this month: homesteadmamma 12-27-2003, 12:37 PM Oh Heather, very pretty. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes and I'm sure you know why. ;) Thank you for sharing those pictures. simplemom 12-27-2003, 12:55 PM Wow! You look both look beautiful Amy and Heather! :heartsm: Well, my dress was long, but simple. It had puffy sleeve shoulders. I will ask Pierre to scan a picture later today! You won't recognize me... ;) Sara Noel 12-27-2003, 04:08 PM I didn't wear a gown. I had worked in the wedding industry for years and have seen some incredible gowns, but it just isn't me. I wore an Anne Klein women's tuxedo. I loved it. It was very simple and elegant and I wouldn't change a thing. Similar to these pictures, but with a camisole, sheer sleeves. http://www.spiegel.com/assets/product_images/product_detail/0907243692.jpg http://www.neimanmarcus.com/products/mn/F4W8148_mn.jpg KKCondrey 12-27-2003, 05:12 PM here is the link on Davids Bridal to mine. I tried to scan a picture but it wasn't cooperating :bang: I will try again later. http://www1.davidsbridal.com/bridalgowns_detail.jsp?stid=801&prodgroup=10 Michelle 12-27-2003, 05:18 PM I wore a very pale ivory (I think they called it candlelight) sheath dress with short puffy sleeves. It had a lot of beading on it, and had a detachable train. I have pictures to scan to show you all, but I need to hook up my scanner (can't find the software right now :bang: ) I'll post pictures when I can. :) KKCondrey 12-27-2003, 05:22 PM Mine was candlelight as well Michelle. It was odd, because next to ivory it looked white, and next to white it looked Ivory. AmyMCGS 12-27-2003, 06:15 PM Mine was a "antique white"-- basically, ivory. The top was beaded around the waist and front making it look like I was wearing a jacket and skirt. I loved my dress! voodidit 12-27-2003, 07:02 PM Here's mine, my hair is past my boobies now though and I've lost some weight. homesteadmamma 12-27-2003, 07:12 PM I love this thread. Its so neat to see what everyone looked like. slowtypinwoman 12-27-2003, 07:54 PM Mine was very 80's. Low cut but that's ok all my big hair covered up most everything else. LOL My bangs were very high, so I guess that brought the eye up. captclearance 12-27-2003, 09:04 PM Wow ! Everyone looks so beautiful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I eloped and wore just a pair of jeans and a t-shirt...... We didn't want anyone to know where we were going....... The whole wedding thing got out of hand with his family....... Darlene 12-27-2003, 09:20 PM You all do look beautiful! No big wedding here. Just the mayor, my sister, his bother & us. No fancy gown here, but that's OK.:) frugalmel 12-27-2003, 09:34 PM Very pretty everyone! Sara, you definitely have your own style. Very chic. :D I always dreamed of a white gown...but alas, we eloped. I got married in a black off the shoulder formal gown. Have to see if I can find a pic. I got black because we were in Vegas and it was all I could find in my price range. *sigh* Some of you LIW (Laura Ingalls Wilder) buffs may remember that she married in black also. Helps me feel not so wierd LOL Missy 12-27-2003, 10:57 PM I got married in a silky slip dress, white with an all over oriental inspired white on wwhite print. sunshine 12-28-2003, 12:08 AM I've posted my picture before, but here it is again. This picture will be 22 years old in a couple weeks. My dress had buttons down the back, crinolines underneath (six layers!) and suited me at the time. It's not what I would choose now. mommy2three 12-28-2003, 08:44 AM ok ok, i am going to have to try to scan a picture of us on our wedding day.:D i love seeing how you all looked. it is so neat. i will see if i can get something scanned later today. mommy2three 12-29-2003, 09:15 AM ok, here is my dress, but it doesn't show the full-view. i am at my mom's house and i couldn't find a picture that showed the whole thing. i will try to find one when i go home.;) i bought my dress from a second-hand store, but when i tried it on, i knew it was the one. it fit perfectly. it was very simple, but i loved it. (you have to remember too that our wedding day fell on the hottest day of the year. it was june 21st, 1997 and 98* . it was sooooo hot and humid and the church didn't have AC.) Guest1 12-29-2003, 03:46 PM Mine cost us $60 at a thrift store, but I liked it!! I had to take a picture of a picture so it's kind of fuzzie.... mustang80 12-29-2003, 05:08 PM This pic is not too clear, (picture of a picture). I just loved my veil. It was like a headband of beads with ruffle-y netting cascading down the back. The dress was very modest with big shoulders and lots of beads. I love the cutout on the train. Two young kids in love, lol. Katybird 12-29-2003, 09:50 PM Y'all were such beautiful brides. Each of you are just glowing in your wedding photos. Thank you so much for sharing them with us. My first wedding, I was 18 and wore a long white gown with a train, with lots of lace and a beautiful veil with real flowers woven through the headpiece. It was lovely. My wedding to DH (the best and the last one ever for me :bride: ) was a small afternoon wedding held at the district judges office with just my parents, my sister and my kids and DH's cousin attending. I wore a long denim dress with birdhouses and butterflies appliqued onto it and a white shirt underneath and DH wore jeans and a nice western shirt and boots and a cowboy hat. :groom: |
