So, I've been doing pretty well with the decluttering, but I think that if we have a snow day this week, I am going to take this bit of advice that I found in (one of my favorite books, obviously) Unclutter Your Home: 7 Simple Steps and 700 TIps and Ideas by Donna Smallin.
"Start with the easy stuff. This will get you in to the act of uncluttering with little or no pain or anxiety. Get a large garbage bag and walk through your house. Throw out anything that is clearly garbage:
-Expired Medicines
-Expired Coupons
-Outdated Clothes
-Makeup that's more than one year old
-Sunscreen that's more than two years old
-Things that are broken unless they are valuable and fixable
-Odd socks
-Grocery bags (10 is enough)
-Old restaurant and shopping guides
-Outdated calendars
-Spoiled food
-Rusted utensils and tools
-Travel literautre and maps (unless they are new and you have definite plans to travel in the next three months)
