I know a lot of you keep track of every penny you spend. I am not one of those. I always pay my bills on time and put a little away for a rainy day but I also know I piddle away a little here and a little there.
Here is a great article for those unconscious spenders out there like myself:

I am always conscious of my spending, now I'm glad I've made frugality my lifestyle. We can eat well and still pay off bills without really sacrificing comfort.
My Dh lost his job last July and we are using all the extra things I bought up when we had more money to spend. (I still have a lot to use before we run out).

No, I am not. I wish I could be more conscious but right now I just don't have the energy or drive to do it!

We have to be conscious, or we would spend it all on nothing! I feels good to have money in the bank, especially, no matter how badly I want to spend money, I think of my saving account and how it feels to have it in there for the future!
We do get a few treats every once in a while. Last night we went out to dinner with some friends. It was a very special treat, for no special occation other than wanting to and was able to do it at that moment. It was the best time we had in a long time, but we won't be doing it again for a long time. That's what makes it special I guess.

I am working toward a more conscious awareness. I tracked my spending Groc and Misc. for March. I did fine on Groc. but my misc. (want-v-need) was horrid...I wil do better next month...starting tomorrow (4/1)hehehe

I have my moments. I don't track every penny but I am aware of what bills need to be paid and how much money is there to pay them. Thanks for the article.

I am whenever the bank account is low. It's low because I'm not carefull enough! I'm trying harder though to count those pennys when it comes to saving on electric and telephone usuage.

I am learning. One thing that helps me be more concious of where I spend my $ is tracking every penny in a notebook. Every time money comes out it gets written down. DAILY. This seems to be the only way I prevent the "where did all the money go?" sensation at the end of the month. *sigh*

I'm not as conscious as I should be. Dh and I have a built in limit though for the grocery budget, cant spend more than that. Having an envelope system and taking savings off his cheque in a computerized withdrawal automatically helps.
