Hi Gals,

I told Carolyn while she was I away I would help to try and keep everyone motivated. Don't know why, I'm in need of help in that area myself lately. :D

Today I am working on my bottom cabinets in the kitchen. So far I have 2 completely emptied and the inside washed out, the outside cleaned and polished and hope to get at least 2 more emptied and cleaned out today. Then I will have a better idea of where and how I want to rearrange things so I can utilize them better. You don't want to see what my kitchen looks like right now, every available surface is being used. :yikes:

I did take before pics, so as soon as I am done I will post them to the correct mission thread.

Don't forget, you have participate in the threads on flinging to earn your broom. Otherwise Amy and Carolyn don't know what you are up to unless you tell us. ;)

So what are you flinging today??? Inquiring minds want to know...... :D

hmmm Ok, dh and I are still flinging Gyproc. Sure was nice that our neighbor loaned us her dh's truck to take the old tub and mildewed gyproc to the dump along with the old surround.

Now we are working on the walls, and some has still got to come down.

Yuk Margery, I remember those remodeling days, not a whole lot of fun. That was awful nice of your neighbor.

I'm flinging papers and boxes! I also have a huge pile of catalogues that I'm taking back to the Sears outlet, they recycle them for us.

I am flingin papers and junk from the upstairs closets and under my bed still!!

I have to explain that the closets upstairs in my house are about 6' x 9' and packed with stuff-n-such..this is gonna take a loooong time. :toothy:

No flingin will get done tomorrow, as we are in clinic all day, then church dinner and service if possible-so I have to fling enough today for today and tomorrow!!

I am counting down to my major fling. the plan is to hit the laundry room hard once dh goes for his out of town job. after that, i plan on going after his armoire, and the kitchen. If after I do all that, if i have time left, I will hit the den. I plan on redecorating the den this year.

Does flinging old strawberry plants and weeds out of the garden count???:toothy: Today the boys and I weeded , dug out and hauled 12 buckets of fresh compost back to our home to supplement the soil and get the strawberry bed ready to plant. We then planted 36 new strawberry plants and 8 brocolli plants in the garden. Jaysn cleaned out all the grass and weeds from around one of the rose bushes near the front walk. Chris just mowed a lawn for a lady here in town and is now on his way down to rake another elderly lady's lawn for her. I'm going to get out and mow the front lawn before hubby gets home and have Jaysn do the back yard later.

Julia and I went to my school today because I had some work to do, but after the kids go to sleep, I'm working on the laundry room.

Not really flinging here today but am certainly cleaning. I have vacuumed the whole house and hope to get everything dusted before bed as well. I want it all clean before the weekend this time. Yesterday I completely cleaned Ryan's room and we tossed out a big bag of trash and took lots of seldom used things to the basement. Her room looks twice as big now.

well we cleaned up, and took a breather. I am so grateful for that neighbor's truck that day. Saved us a lot of hassle.

Our dog got into the kitchen gbg and did a little flinging herself, found a nice ripe pork chop bone, and i just cleaned up the mess. She looks pleased with herself.

I will not fling the dog, :D I do love her.:D

Well, I didn't fling yesterday either. I am just trying to get the house clean. Flinging is easy.....keeping the house clean is hard!

You girls have sure been busy! :D

Debbie, I would count old strawberry plants as flinging. Your garden is going to be wonderful when you get done. :)

Amy, I don't even know how you are doing it with a new baby and a little helper. :hugz:

Pat & Ryan :thumb: Sounds like you did a great job!!

Margery, I'm glad you are not going to fling your dog! :D I thought only dogs did the garbage thing, but have since found out, little kitties do too! Little Oliver is my 'hound dog'! :D

Melissa, You are a sneaky woman! Hope your big fling goes as you planned. ;)

Laci, It is hard just keeping up with regular housework. I'm sure glad we can do the missions at our own pace. :)

I only got 3 cabinets done yesterday so it's back in the kitchen for me today. :(

I hope to finish off the bottom ones, 3 more to go, a shelving unit and the outside of my fridge. We'll see, I'm not killing myself, just taking my time and doing it right once! :D

So what are you all up to today? Fling anything? :)

I've slowed down on the flinging at present, although we did do some flinging outside yesterday with all the leaves and such.

I won't be flinging over the weekend. Its dh's 3 days off. I sure would like to fling, but it isn't anything in the house.

I'll get back to it slowly on Monday.

CJ, we all need a break now and then, I took one last week myself. Enjoy your weekend with your family, it'll still be there next week. :)

I shredded up all my prunings from the shrubs for mulch for the borders does that count as flinging?
Sawed up an old chair to burn in my woodburner
Sent a bunch of magazines and papers to be recyled
took two boxes glass bottles to be recycled.

Yep MissPrimm, I would certainly call that flinging! :D

Okay so my asperations were higher than my energy level. :D So far I have only gotten my shelving unit cleaned and put back together and the bottom cabinet on it cleaned. I'm still working though and should be able to post a couple of pics tonight in the kitchen cabinet mission. :D

Back to work! :bolt:

Well, today was NOT a day for flinging. My two sisters-in-law came over with their babies (we all had babies within 3 months of each other) and Julia's 2 1/2 year old cousin. Julia and Ellen played with every toy in this house. I should have taken a photo of the playroom before we instituted clean-up time. Unfortunately, there was nothing to fling...just stuff to clean up. So, even though there was no flinging here today, it was a great day.

Amy that's nice you had company and Julia had her cousin to play with. You need a day off every once in a while. :)

I'm done flinging for the day. I posted what I got done in the kitchen (mission 8). Today I boxed up for my sister:

Plastic containers, a microwave bacon cooker, grill tools, baking pans, salt & pepper shakers, insulated mugs, plastic bowls with lids, a sifter (I had 2), set of 4 canisters, a mug tree with 4 mugs, a napkin holder and s&p shakers and a utensil holder all matching. A brand new pasta holder and a kitchen sized bag full of dish towels, pot holders and many placemats.

:yippee: More stuff out of here! :bolt:

Dog is happy healthy and still looking pleased with herself. I have managed a bit more mostly odds and ends around the living room as I tidied up.:D
